Thought for the day...…..
At my six month review with my EP (not the same cardiologist) after my first
cryoablation
(done in July 2016), we talked about reducing or possibly even stopping the Diltiazem but he suggested that I monitored my blood pressure first.

3 month check up after Cryoablation
Hi all, thought I'd check back in after a while. Had my 3 month follow up with Prof Schilling in London following my Cryo ablation in June and he was very positive about it all. Haven't had any arrhythmias aside from an ectopic here or there so can stop taking my rivaroxaban. Stopped all medications

Cryoablation
Hi everyone the Ablation went ahead on Thursday, I had
cryoablation
freezing instead of heat, the EP said it went well but I still have to take Dronedrone,(apixaban for life) bisopolol for 3months, he explained about possible AF and ectopic beats while the heart is healing. 2 days in and I’m a bit sore

Ablation + a heartening experience...…..
It was a follow up to the
Cryoablation
I had in June 2016 because of the increasing number of AF episodes since last October. The procedure from start to finish took around 4 hours but because it was carried out under a general anaesthetic, I was not aware of any part of it.

New medical term...….
To briefly bring you up to date, I had a
cryoablation
back in July 2016 which was fine. Last October/November I had a couple of AF episodes which I know was brought on by some acute stress.

Beta Blocker quandary
I had a
Cryoablation
in Feb 2017. I have been taking 1.25mg Bisoporol daily at night and Edoxaban. Whether it’s been to the hot weather and a busy life but the lethargy heavy limbs etc side effects of Bisoporol have been more problematic of late.

Post cryoablation- anxiety
I guess I have drug resistant (Amiodarone) paroxysmal AFib and just had
cryoablation
4 days ago. Now experiencing some afib but I know it's early still. They said I have a 70% chance it worked but I don't know what that expectation is. Any words of wisdom or encouragement?

Cryoablation vs radiofrequency ablation
One has advised that he will use the
cryoablation
technique whilst the other has mentioned radiofrequency. Whilst i know whats involved in both techniques i am not sure which one is better/safer than the other? FYI i have paroxysmal AF and diagnosed earlier this year.

Three years ago today
Today is the third anniversary of my
cryoablation
carried out by Prof. Richard Schilling in London. Since then I have had no AF at all and have “got my life back”.

Thought for the day.........
In my case, I had an
cryoablation
back in July 2016. Ironically, this was mainly due to my “plumber’s” advice. It all went well, but in October 2017 I had two AF episodes which I know were brought on by stress.

Cryoballoon AF ablation and migraines
caused by the 'atrial septal puncture' of the wall of the heart during
cryoablation
(from right to left of the heart). If this is true, does anyone understand why it happens? And can anyone reassure me the migraines will stop?

Does heat ablation go anywhere near the phrenic nerve?
Hi All I had an unsuccessful
cryoablation
August 2017 which also unfortunately left me with a phrenic nerve injury, resulting in my right diaphragm being paralysed - therefore no air going in or out of my right lung. I saw my EP this week who has put me on his priority list for a heat ablation.
