Apixaban double-edged sword?
I had a successful PVI
Cryoablation
in August 2018 which has fixed my PAF for the time being. In preparation for ablation, the EP put me on 2x5mg Apixaban in place of the soluble aspirin I had been taking.

Cryoablation report
Also on the consent form I signed it only says
Cryoablation
Pulmonary Vein Isolation and a Transoesophageal Echocardiogram. There’s nothing on the report mentioning the TOE so don’t know if it was done. Or........is Toe and PV angio the same but different if you know what I mean?

Visual aura following cryoablation
A week ago I had a
cryoablation
for atrial flutter. It was a part of a clinical trial, to see if isolating the pulmonary veins in the left atrium is preferable to the more common right atrium treatment. It involved a transseptal puncture.

Ablation yesterday
I have just had my
cryoablation
for AF done yesterday and wanted to share my experience. I had been dreading it for the last 3 months and it is finally over! I decided to do it privately in St Barts Hospital under GA.

RF Balloon Ablation?
I was scheduled for
cryoablation
on June 11th, the hospital needed to reschedule due to equipment failure. Then on the 18th, I was cancelled because I'd need a TEE and they hadn't gotten insurance approval for that.

Antiarrhthmic drugs working great, but scheduled for ablation
(It's a
cryoablation
). The doctor plans on keeping him on the antiarrhythmic Dofetilide for 6 months following. I guess my main question is -- if the meds, including antiarrhthmics, are working so well for him right now, is he crazy to get an ablation?

6 months following cryoablation, something called tachycardia just pop-up!
The only thing that I noticed since my
cryoablation
was the increased heart rate and thanks to you I understood that it was a common side effect (and today problem is solved). But my question is, what can I do now? See a cardiologist or wait and see?

Hi, I had my

Bothersome heart rate
I'm post
cryoablation
and generally feel good but I notice today that my heart rate is up near 77, which is unusual for me. I worry because I felt like this when I was in nsr two years ago. I haven't had a physical in a while so I guess o should do that. Anyone have similar experiences out there?

Pauses after ablation
I had a
cryoablation
on March 21st with no afib episodes after the procedure. It has now been almost 8 weeks and I am beginning to experience 2 to 3 second pauses with no other afib sypmtoms. I assume the pauses are 2 to 3 seconds I get really light headed and can't seem to catch my breath.

Cryoablation
So, I saw my EP today and he has said that I'm a perfect candidate for a
Cryoablation
. It seems the waiting list in Bristol is only three months. I'm having my knee replaced in around two, and am wondering whether I should delay the
Cryoablation
for a little longer.

Tikosyn
I had
cryoablation
about 5 months ago. Still have AF 2-3 times a month but big reduction in symptoms, duration and frequency. I’m questioning whether my Tikosyn is making any difference.

6 months post Cryoablation
First three months were fairly chaotic regards rhythm, but heart rate (bpm) was always normal, then for 10 weeks no problems at all. I thought great, it’s worked! Then out of the blue I had two weeks of daily ectopics, so bad one day I had to take a flecainide! Followed by a few days of calm, and now

Do I need a GP's sick certificate??
I had
cryoablation
half way through the school Easter holidays (when I am not contracted to work) so in effect the first 7 days fell during my non contracted time.
