Looking for APS specialist
My dose of
coumadin
has been 72 mg a week for many months and I'm careful with vitamin k intake. The many coagchec INR tests done by a nurse at the clinic provided INR numbers at the upper end of the target range I.E.: 2.8 - 3.2.

Cosmetics and anticoagulants
I was browsing a list of ingredients of a body crem that I was thinking of buying and was surprised to find
Coumadin
(warfarin) on the list. Apparently it smells of lavender.

Still on rythmol, metoprolol, and
coumadin
. I worry about coming off rythmol and metoprolol because I feel they have prevented PAF but will deal with it when the time comes. One day at a time. Thank you everyone for your support and advice. You are an amazing group❤️

Factor V Leiden discovery put me on
Coumadin
in lieu of colon resection, but attacks continued. Heart attack added Plavix and 81mg aspirin to meds, but attacks continued. ET diagnosis put me on hydroxycarbamide. Platelets came down, and no more attacks for the last year and a half, thank God.

The validity of discontinuing long term Warfarin (coumadin) therapy
In fact, according to the Clinic where my levels are monitored, he has long refused to manage anyone who is on
Coumadin
therapy. He told me he wrote the Rx as a favor to me, but no more. He was quite abrupt about it but gave me no reason.

Numb tingling lip, weakness in left arm?
I went off of my
Coumadin
a few days ago & switched to Lovenox injections in preparation for the dental implant I'm getting tomorrow. I've done this routine many times before and never experienced any symptoms such as today's. Has anyone else had issues like this when you've been under coagulated?

APS how it changed my life.
I take
Coumadin
everyday and have a INR target range of 3.5 to 4.5. My husband and I like to take long rode trips by car. My hematologist gave me syringes filled with 100 of lavonox to take on days we will travel more than 3 hours at a time.

"CIC" , or Circulating Immune Complex used to detect Lupus Anticoagulant Antibody if already commenced on Warfarin?
I explained to him that I really couldn't test for this one since I'm on
Coumadin
. He told me the CIC was a " back door" way to test. My son ( just turned 16 last weekend , and was diagnosed with APS recently.) Has anyone had positive experiences with this? Knowledge?

Solutions for restless leg symptoms
My other discovery is that I believe the blood thinner
Coumadin
is somehow involved with my rls. Not much info is available on this subject except to say the two are probably not connected. I believe they are. Can you tell I'm not a fan of 'Big Pharma'?
