Overall weakness
I am on
Coumadin
and my INR stays between 3.2 and 3.9. My limbs are extremely weak and getting weaker. I have decreasing strength and can rarely do basic tasks. As an example: I cannot sit up or get out of chair without help. The doctors cannot identify the problem.

Scarring of retina or macular
She has maintained some sight in her right eye all these years, but her left eye lost most sight several years ago from a facial hemmorragh from
Coumadin
. We went for an eye check the other day and her vision (with distance glasses on) went from 20/70 to 20/2400!

Alternatives to knee surgery
I am now off
coumadin
and it's time to deal with the knees. My knee pain is really limiting my ability to get around independently and I want to do everything I can to remain independent, stay out of assisted living and nursing homes.

Long-tern aspirin use after Watchman Procedure.
I am about to get off my
coumadin
(next week) and start my 3-4 months of daily Plavix and 1 baby aspirin (81mg) per day. The time limit for these meds will be up in July. It will then be time to stop the Plavix (clopidogrel) and continue on indefinitely with just a baby aspirin/day.

Medication options
For the past 9 months I have been taking
Coumadin
from the UK because I cannot tolerate the US brands do to the fillers. I no longer can get it. Prof Hughes wanted me on
Coumadin
because he said the newer medications are not therapeutic. Is there a long acting Warfarin? Or any other options.

A Thank you to all who responded to my "TEE/TOE anxiety question.
Also Heather reassured me the procedure would be quick as all the doc will be checking is that my opening between my left atrial appendage and my atrium has healed and closed properly and it is safe for me to stop
coumadin
. I can't tell you how my anxiety level has plummeted.

restless leg symptoms worsened by coumadin.
Has anyone had any experience with blood thinners, esp
coumadin
, worsening restless leg pain. I believe my symptoms are worsened by taking
coumadin
for atrial fibrillation and there is a procedure called the Watchman Procedure that will enable me to get off all blood thinners within 4-6 months.

ENTRESTO - ASK QUESTIONS FIRST - NOT LATER!
My husband is now off the Entresto and on
Coumadin
- for the rest of his life! These last two weeks have been a horror. My husband has been on plenty of heart medication and has had very few side affects.
