Hi My doc wants to do cortisone drips over a period of 3 days for inflammation. Have this horrid condition. Has the characteristics of tendonitis at the base of my thumb joints. Livitigo and thevothyroxin?
Hi, I was diagnosed with hoshimotos about a month ago and was given Levothyroxin. A few years back I noticed mild vitiligo on my hands, which at the time I put down to ill-informed use of cortisone cream which I’d been applying too liberally following a rash/infection. However, following the recent

Has anyone been given a cortisone injection and told if it works then we will give you methotexate?
I was at my second rheumatologist appointment today after having horrendous 3 night's of pain. I am strong CCP positive but apparently negative RF. Contradictory to what my own GP who said I bloods showed positive. This consultant thinks I'm still palandromic as I'm not showing any visible joint swelling

Hi All I am looking for some advice and warn that yet again this will be a long post! I have had several 9am blood tests that show low cortisol and so was sent by my NHS endo to have a SST yesterday morning. Side effect of statins - anyone notice worsening itchy rash?
My husband was prescribed statins after a mini stroke. He was happy to take them but his 'varicose eczema' has got much worse and spread to his arms and the itching is driving him mad. The GP keeps giving him moisturiser with blasts of cortisone cream sometimes. I have just discovered statins can cause

Recently diagnosed with PMR
Hello, my name is Robin and I am 69 years old. I was diagnosed with PMR last month. It was quite by accident. I had been suffering with all the symptoms of PMR for the past couple of years, but thought it was just my age creeping up on me. I had an upper respiratory infection that would not go away

DREADED METHOTREXATE
I have recently been diagnosed with suspected psoriasis arthritis and had a couple of cortisone shots which help. I've also been prescribed methotrexate at a low dose but am terrifed of taking it due to the harsh side effects and also I am terrified of feeling like I've got brain fog and being bloated

The $64,000 Question!
So... many of you know I went to see my Rheumy last Wednesday. It was a routine appointment that ended up with her draining, what appeared to be, a ridiculous amount of fluid from my knee and injecting it with Cortisone... I have a torn meniscus & Baker's Cyst. On Friday morning, an unexpected trip

Hey guys, I don't post here anymore, because everytime I post, I tend to get run out of town by the angry mob. My wife is now in full remission and doing great. No pain, ever. We just got back from Rome where we walked an average of 20,000 steps per day. Remission is highly achievable with lifestyle
