About my “not very serious” injury: concussion
The very worst thing is the fear. It nudges me awake in the night, insists that now my headache is beyond bearable, nags me to get down to the 24-hour medical centre right away. It hints my child will have to finish growing up without me, my man can’t cope, no-one else could possibly understand my way

He suffered a
concussion
. That sounds so minimal, but we went to A & E because he'd lost vision and was appearing 'drunk'. They scanned him - no physical injury, I got given a leaflet and we were sent home.

Head injury can damage your pituitary gland, even just a mild
concussion
. BBC radio's 'Inside Health' suggested there are 500k to 1m people who have pituitary damage without knowing it in the UK today. That's up to one in every sixty of the UK's population.

Having Flu Jab
To say it didn't go well is an understatement, following the jab I ended up fainting, smacking my head on the floor and ending up at A&E with
concussion
. Doctors thought it was reaction to the jab. Now the time is coming round to having it again. Not looking forward to it!!!

Hashimoto's, joint hypermobility and Basilar artery syndrome--very confused!
In 1997 i was involved in a car accident which resulted in whiplash injuries and
concussion
injuries to most of my joints. Initially I wasn't worried and thought I would be okay after a few weeks.

This results in having an egg protruding from ones eyebrow, a cracking headache, nausea and great annoyance at the fact that one probably shouldn't do a run with

Concussion
... I've been officially told off by my doctor, as I've been going to College and walking about a lot more than I should with my injury. She was trying to persuade me to have complete time off College, as the nature of the work I do there is too risky.

Just popping in for a few minutes(and hospital update 25th April)
I had
concussion
for days and my memory is shot. On 5th April Suzanne(daughter) was rushed into hospital again. Although she catheterises at times her bladder clogs up with all the UTIs and nothing comes out, her bladder overfills, she goes unconscious and gets rushed in.

Has anyone found any treatment for post concussion syndrome that does not involve masking the pain with meds? How long does this last? :(
I fell off my bike last May, landed on my head. Apparently it is my frontal lobes that have been affected - thus making emotional control, focus and concentration a problem. As well as the headaches. I am currently having Cranial Adjustments with a Chiro who is also addressing the whip lash and I have
