It's my health, my body...why is it that my opinion does not count? I am angry, frustrated and feeling helpless!
I am currently taking Ropinirole, (0.5MG, 1 tab-4x dly) Carb/Levo, (25-100MG, 1 tab-4x dly) Entacapone, a generic of
Comtan
(200MG, 1/2 tab-2x dly) & Buprop, (100MG, 1 tab-2x dly). Though I don't know much of anything about my meds, I despise having to take them and how they make me feel.

Constant Colds after total thyroidectomy
Had anyone else suffered after having a total thyroidectomy? On 150mcg of levothyroxine. Had mine at the end of September and ever since had a cold. Just as I get rid of one another one starts. Really getting me down. Any advice would be gratefully received. Thanks x

Do you think that endometriosis makes you more susceptible to colds and other bugs?
In my personal experience I seem to get more colds a year than I used to. Prior to endo I had one, maybe two colds a year, now I am averaging five to six, and the effects stay with me longer. I have a fever for about four days which incapacitates me, when it used to be something I could muddle on through

Can I do anything to stave off persistent winter colds?
I was diagnosed in early stages two years ago. So far I have had no symptoms and I have 6 monthly blood checks and a telephone discussion with a CLL nurse. However I do get prolonged colds every winter - and that has been happening for about 5 years, other than that I am pretty healthy and fit. Has

Sorry for yet more questions. . . Has anyone had a laparoscopy, hysteroscopy and dye test, who also has M.E/Chronic fatigue?
I know everyone is different but I was wondering how long people with M.E/CFS had taken off work to recover.

First cold...
First mini illness of the year. Woke up sneezing, blocked nose and sore head. I tell you I used to be good with colds but with this HA it's about 100x worse! I feel death is coming, even thought I know I'm being dramatic my mind is taking over. I haaaaaate the winter! Actually detest it, bring back

Does being on hydrochloroquine make you more susceptible to catching infections?

Getting colds and infections after running?
I've been running since the spring and loving it but I keep having to stop for weeks at a time because of sore throats, colds and coughs. I had a cough in June/ July which turned into a chest infection needing antibiotics. This week I've picked up a cold and slight cough from my daughter so am not running

What causes the involuntary movements or dyskinesia, is it the pd or pd meds?

Comtan
was recently changed to a generic form by the pharmacy, called Entacapone, also 100mg, 2x dly.; this is what may be the culprit.

After over ten years only cardopa- leva dopa in extended release plus short acting doses are doing some good. Any good ideas for rigidity?
Comtan
, amantadine, mirapex, azilect psych/ side effects now terrifying. Lower body rigiidity is challenging mobility without a wheelchair.

GABAPENTIN for nerve pain?
My PD meds are carbidopa/levodopa,
comtan
and mirapex. (Mirapex was the possible interaction). Within two hours of taking the one AND ONLY capsule I will ever take, I had double vision, a migraine complete with nausea, diarhea (sp?), and felt like a walking zombie.

Have you run with cold??
I am to run my RfL on 14th and was looking forward to do another Park Run tomorrow and I have caught a cold! I ate 2 fruits and had a Lemsip and Vitamin C and the time is only 11.21am! I don't feel all that good and quite anxious whether this cold would get worse. I suffered from a bad cold and a cough

how to avoid colds/viruses?!?
I know its a bit of an impossible question, its just its become very apparent that my biggest triggers are colds and viruses. My asthma is reasonably well controlled, but the minute I have a cold or virus my asthma spirals downhill, my peak flow drops, I wake at night, have symptoms most of the day and

Low body temperature and constant colds
I've always felt the cold a lot more than my friends, but lately noticing it more. Testing my temperature more often it seems my 'normal' (average) body temperature is 36 degrees, so slightly lower than it should be. My resistance to colds is zero and I often feel shivery. Yesterday my temperature went

Is one more prone to catching colds just after a dose reduction?
In Aug 2011 I developed PMR which was treated initially with 15mg of Pred. Currently on 1.25mg(2.5/0 alternate days). On advice from GP I am reducing slightly once a month and blood tests are normal, PMR getting better slowly. My husband has had cold after cold this winter. Every time I have reduced

I'm on levothyroxine, am I still more susceptible to colds, viruses etc? Please help I could lose my job.
Maybe about a year ago I mentioned to my doctor that I seemed to catch every cold etc that was in the vacinity. She said "Of course you do - you've got an underactive thyroid!" I was stunned - I thought that would stop once I was on levothyroxine. Is she right? My manager is trying to put me on a
