Repetitive Colds - Any advice please?
Hi, I have been having repetitive colds since the beginning of December and it is now my 3rd cold since then. I had been feeling really well all of last year and after my last blood test in February when my TSH was 2.29, I had an increase in my Levothyroxine from 75mcg to 100mcg. Is the immune system

Who has found that during W&W you didn't suffer from colds, bacterial, viral or fungal infections? And immunity is strong?
I am curious if any of us currently Keep or have kept a journal to record how their immune system seems to be functioning during W&W? I have and so far,so good. No colds or infections in the last year or so,except the occasional cold sore when I eat too much almond or peanut butter. And this is something

As you all know I am really new to copd and have a number of questions. I have had my flu shot, what i need to know more about is catching the flu or colds more prevelent with copd, and if you were to catch something does that advance your copd faster. Thank you for any reply's, and have a great day

Asthma BETTER with common cold?!
I thought colds and flus were meant to make asthma worse, but I feel really good these last few days if you don't count the usual cold misery. Why has my asthma eased up with something known to worsen it? :o Or will my asthma only flare up AFTER the cold passes? EDIT: I never usually cough with asthma

Comtan increasing off times
Just started taking
Comtan
(along with usual sinemet) and find my off-times are drastically increased so that there's very little on-time. Didn't expect
Comtan
to have the opposite effect of what it's supposed to do. Also more foot dystonia (cramping) forcing me to walk on the outside edge--OUCH.

Adding meds
He also ordered
Comtan
(entacapone) 1 tab 6 times/daily with the C/P. I seem to have more "off" times and just want to feel As "normal" as possible. Is there any one out there who can identify with this? Does this med regime work for you?

Medication Question
I take 1/2 Madopar 250 & 1/2
Comtan
200 twice per day. It takes about an hour for the meds to take effect, then they last for about 2 hours or 2 1/2 hours. So I only get 4-5 hours relief each day. My last doctor suggested I take the meds 3 times per day plus a time released Madopar at bedtime.

Health Check: what is the common cold and how do we get it?
'The “common cold” is common. Most of us will have at least one or two per year. Children get sick more often and very young children often get more than five colds per year. Even though it’s so common there’s a lack of good research looking into this infection and ways to prevent and treat

Boss harassing me for too much time off work
I'm sure most of you understand how shit it is to go to work when you're in pain. I am a dental hygienist which I think is a stressful physical and psychological job and in my line of work it's easy to catch colds and hard to work (and quite dangerous) when you have a cold or are in pain. A couple

ITP and Feeling the Cold
We have had numerous comments from followers suggesting that ITP sufferers feel the cold considerably more than non - ITP sufferers. So we put this to some of the ITP Support Association medical panel to see what they thought. Well .....the general opinion is that there is NO DIRECT link between

Am seeking experiences and opinions from those who have taken Entacapone, (Comtan).
Entacapone is a COMT inhibitor, prescribed, in my case, to enhance the effects of levadopa/carbidopa. However, after reading the lengthy list of possible side effects and warnings, I'm having second thoughts. Any opinions would be appreciated.

Speaking of the devil...(the flu )
About 2 days after my post "Do colds and flu seem worse if you have PD?", I started getting a sore throat for the first time about 6 months. I took my usual actions (constantly sip hot fluids, massive vit A and D, and zicam) and it was not a problem and after a few days it was gone. However, it did
