IC and pelvic pain
I was diagnoised with IC 3 years ago and have
chronic
pelvic
pain
. I also have vulvodynia and IBS. I have tried numerous medications and bladder instillations which have not worked. I have recently started Elmiron but too early to say if it's helping yet.

Prednisolone!
I take Pred, Methotrexate 25mg a week, Hydroxychloroquine @400mg a day, and 2700mg of Gabapentin a day. My weight has skyrocketed. I am the heaviest I have ever been in my life, and it's all down to how much junk food, chocolate and crisps I am eating. As I am also suffering from Trigeminal nerve pain

Endo surgery with tight pelvic floor muscles/nerve pain?
I’ve been getting Botox injections every 6 months to my very tight pelvic floor muscles, which has helped with my
chronic
pelvic
pain
. But the pain is still there, so I’m considering doing surgery for endometriosis soon.

Hi all, I am 51 years old and have suffered from Endo for the past 7 years approx and had an op to remove some about 4 years ago. This seemed to help for a while but it came back as I believe is often the case. I have been on the mini pill since the op and the condition has been almost manageable and

Feeling hopeless, 15+ years chronic pain and about to be a new parent in a different country.
I have a lot to be grateful for, and I am, but the
chronic
pain
is just taking its toll on me. My wife and I recently moved back to her home country of Germany for one year, because she is pregnant and we wanted to have the baby somewhere she feels more comfortable.

QoL: "The berries remain, though the leaves are gone."
I travelled to Scotland to see my father for an early Christmas, and then to West Yorkshire to see my mum. My dad had requested a couple of paintings to hang on his wall as a reminder for when I am no longer here, this being part of his adjustment that I am now receiving care for pain management only

gobsmacked
I can't believe they won't prescribe Subutex to a suffering
chronic
pain
sufferer, but freely give it out to drug addicts.......I'm just gobsmacked. There is a drug out there that could potentially stop me from jumping off a bridge but they won't give it to me.

Multiple unexplained pains!
I also have
chronic
pelvic
pain
(possibly adenomyosis), unexplained numbness in my hands, pain in one ankle, left hip and generally very sensitive to touch. Yet no doctor is linking any of this, they are all individually shrugging it off, not knowing what to suggest.

Why do I always ache
Does anybody else have constant body aches? I posted about rib pain recently but if the pains not in my ribs it’s my chest or I ache all around the top of my arms into my chest area. It’s daily now & the pain gets worse as the day goes on. Someone on here recently suggested it might be costochondritis

Hi everyone and Happy New Year
my name is Jill and it’s been along while since I’ve posted anything. I was diagnosed in 1999. Aged 39. Despite being very unwell for months and being ‘fobbed ’ off by my Gp. By the time I was diagnosed I had Saddle Nose deformity. Like alot of you even as a nurse I was very scared and felt alone

Supportive wife
Hi there! My husband was diagnosed with CLL in 2015. He had zero issues, I was just concerned about esophageal issues (burping) and requested a 50-year full physical so we could get a scope. Within two weeks my husband had diagnosis for esophageal cancer at GE junction (14% survival rate) and CLL.

Xgeva Side Effects
Hi!! Has anyone had extreme pain in hips, groin and femurs caused by Xgeva? I first started with pain in my right side. So bad that I literally have to lift my leg with my hands to get into the car. That was about a year ago. My doctor doesn’t seem to think there’s a problem and doesn’t address it.

steroids after a fall…
hi, I had a fall a few days ago, nothing broken but as the days go on I’m extremely stiff and sore on my upper body. I’m especially bad at night when laying down and the pain is at it’s worse. I’m taking painkillers (co-codamol) that work for a while till they wear off….Would anyone know if increasing

Next Step (Addenbrookes) - TIPS operation unsuccessful
Hello all, I posted on here a few months ago and received some really positive replies - thank you. Long story short, my partner (70) was diagnosed with NAFLD (Non Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease) last year after tummy bleeds and generally being unwell. It was caused by long-term painkiller use prescribed

Get worse before better?
One minute I’m completely exhausted, and the next I’ve got
chronic
nerve
pain
, then sweating following small exertions. It’s so wearing. I’m trying to stay positive. Dr K says all my levels are good, ferritin, folate and B12, I do need to keep working on my vitamin D, and it is rising slowly.
