Bowen therapy And other Alternative treatments
Also gentle massage, heated massage and gentle
chiropractic
treatments have all provided relief. I was having pain in my lower and upper back. Both sites were greatly eased by the heat and gentle massage techniques. Google Bowen therapy, and read about it.

Is chiropractice any use for adults with cp?
Hello, Does anyone have experience of using a chiropractor as an adult with cp? The reported experience from people who have used it for children seems to be “our child is happier”. That is nice, but I do not know if it applies to adults. Thank you.

Vulval Pain
Hi, I want to share my experience with this, I hope it helps. It is going to be a bit long, sorry about that. In March 2011, the month I got married, I remember getting a bit sore down below, it felt like the onset of thrush. During the following months the burning sensation kept coming and going, each

Managing without medication
I've read a few posts where people are delaying medication for as long as they can. That is my aim too, mainly because I see from my mum the effects that these drugs can have. So far the symptoms I have are internal tremors, some rigidity and stiffness and a slightly dragging leg, and I find it harder

Guess who's back...
Well, not quite back to 100% yet, but I'm "back in business". Sorry I haven't been on here much lately, but between not running due to my foot problems and with work being a bit crazy of late it's been a struggle to get here and write an update. Some of you on Facebook will be up to date though! So

Checking in...
Morning all, Aussie here from the couch... Although this morning I stepped off it... and later on today I'll be off it again... Well - time for an update I suppose. In the bad news, there's no way I can run the Kew Gardens 10K... in slightly better news though, I "might" be able to run the Kingston

About 16 years ago I had to give up work to move back home as my father could no longer manage mum who had Alzheimer's, mum no longer recognised dad

Rheumy says no lupus
Well, I went back to rheumy, and apparently my bloodwork shows no lupus, no hashimotos. I said, but what about my symptoms, not feeling well, this and that. He kept saying, oh come on, you are not sick. This is a 70 yr old rheumy that I believe is a little off. He said nothing about the knots on my toes

Ongoing strange readings
My Mum's TSH has been up and down like a yo-yo for the past year. She had radio iodine treatment which resulted in total ablation in 2010 and has since had blood results which have been up and down. The GPs have been managing it by altering her meds during this time. About 4 months ago she was on

What helped me...may help you
I am just sharing because I have been in so much pain also. Mostly IBS C and started to get D too. Leaky Gut, and ileocecal valve pain and problems. I too was afraid to eat. Was beginning to think I had colon or gall bladder cancer. I will share what has helped turn it around for me, and I share

telling my story
Then I added in some interventional types of treatments such as
chiropractic
care, acupuncture, mindfulness based stress reduction, massage therapy. Just make sure you tell your therapists if you are receiving chemo. This life is a journey and it is what you make of it.
