Should I ask for a new assessment - third edition - the results are good and bad
I will meet with someone who specialises in
chemotherapy
in a couple of weeks, get more information, and then make a decision whether to pursue chemo or not.

Hello All , I had a yearly visit with my Urologist . Nothing really bothering me , just to keep him in the loop . I have a MO at V.A. and a MO at U of Chicago . So during our chat he said their practice , Advanced Urology , their MO only does chemo . Other meds done by different docs . I found that strange

Mastecomy tomorrow update and new question
I would like to thank all of you who wished me well with my surgery a couple of weeks ago. I was humbled by the sheer number of you sending me such caring, encouraging messages. What a gift to receive just prior to my surgery! My surgery went well and the healing is much less painful than my dislocated

Husband with Advanced Prostrate cancer.
My husband has been fighting adv prostrate cancer for 4 years now. I have never heard of this red meat as part of treatment. As we get older we are advised to avoid too much red meat in our diets at least thats what I have always been led to believe. We are in the UK. His treatment was 6 courses of Chemo

Rituximab and Venentoclax treatment reaction
I have been off
chemotherapy
now for about 3 months. Unfortunately the only benefit is I have stopped feeling/being sick. My stomach is still swollen and it feels like something is stuck all the while.

Should my dad continue docetaxel? He seems weakening so much.
My Dad with mHSPC (GS8 and PSA 50) and we found this in June 2022. ADT was first treated in July and Docetaxel was started in Aug. After the 5th injection of docetaxel, my dad at the age of 75 seems very weak. The PSA drop from initial 50 to 0.28 before the 5th docetaxel. The first 2 docetaxel seems

Scans 6 weeks after last chemo & bone mets no better & more of them
Will be seeing my Dr. on Monday but had CTs and bone scan today, just about 6 weeks after 6th & final chemo (docetaxel). She wanted these scans over PSMA to compare with same scans taken 6 mo. ago when 1st diagnosed. 6 mo. ago, the scans showed 6 mets; today, the 6 seem no different & there are 2 -3

First day I am feeling well after, Calquence
I have been on Calquence for 54 days. This has been a journey, for me. I am happy I took a leave from work for three months. I had several side effects, headaches, loud ringing in my ears, and I had severe muscle pain, and had a hard time walking. Some days I cried, but its is better to take a pill

Anyone prescribe Metformin for prostate cancer not for diabetes?
These findings suggest that metformin not only reduced the side effects of ADT but also acted as
chemotherapy
for ADT through testosterone inhibition.
