IUD Cramps

Hi I had a copper coil fitted on 22 Nov 17. I had cramps for a couple of days and then it seemed to settle down. However, in the past couple of days i've had cramps and I am not due on my next period until 16 Jan. Is this normal? The cramps aren't major, kind of in the background. I've no fever, or unusual

Hi everyone, I’m knew to this but have been reading everyone’s posts and getting advice for the last 12 months, so thanks😊 I’m 25 and I’m almost convinced I have endometriosis, since my first period I have what can only be described as crippling period pain, my whole body is racked with pain so bad

Lymphedema right side of abdomen

Hi I was diagnosed with lymphedema in my right leg last summer, this year. This was after quite a bit of surgery in 2013 after finding pre cancerous cells after a smear test. My GP referred me to physio for swelling in my abdomen in 2014... thinking it was scar tissue - just found out from lymphedema

Less Pre-run Faff = More Post Run Problems

Yesterday I fully intended to be running with Laura and her Speed Podcast in my local park, but having looked out of the window first thing, with the ice still thick on the paths and pavements, any hint of motivation I might have had simply flew out of it. The thought of trying to up my pace on a slippy

Maybe tmi.. Waiting Lap and Hysteroscopy.. feel like a fraud?

Hi everyone. So I've been on this group since my GP asked me if I had heard of/knew much about endometriosis. This is a long story so bear with me.. I went to the GP after my first smear test came back with abnormal cells but they weren't worried and were going to leave me for another 3 years. I went

Second time round

Hi All, I was diagnosed with Endo November last year via lap and had treatment (very small amount of Endo left Ovary kinda area). I have now been re-refferred to the specialist due to symptoms worsening again (Sorry if TMI but extremely painful sex, not so much pelvis but more cervix during penetration

Don't blame your thyroid for everything ....

Just wanted to let you guys know my story because you shouldn't blame all your symptoms on hypothyroidism . I was diagnosed about 8 years ago through excessive tiredness and too many viruses prob had it a few years before diagnosis . Took Levo and supplements and felt so so more bad than well . This

Confused and frustrated

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help. I've been on a quest on and off for many years to find out what's wrong health wise as different things have presented themselves. And have often felt like the biggest hypochondriac around, especially having not been taken very seriously along the way. Migraines started

Have I seen something that the doctors haven't seen?

Second post of the day, sorry! Normally I don't get to see my cervical smear results, they just tell me "It was fine" and that's all. But today I needed to ask for them in the clinic where I did It (with my usual gynaecologist in Spain) to hand them to the doctor here. And this is what I saw: they describe

Due to start IVF and abnormal smear ☹

Hey everyone, I'm due to start IVF for the first time in January and I've just started microgynon ready for this and then this morning I've had a letter for abnormal smear results. (Severe dyskaryosis) What do you think the chances of them cancelling the IVF is going to be? Anyone else been this unlucky

HRT advice needed

I have an appointment with my OB-Gyn today to discuss HRT. I have been on Estrogel and Utrogestan 200 mg for the past six years (prescribed by Hertoghe doctor). I have been using Estrogel from day 5-25 of cycle, and Utrogestan from day 15-25. I recently had a pap smear which came back normal, and a mammography

As above this is a bit of a TMI post but pretty sure most of you on here are used that sort of thing by now! 🤷‍♀️ I had diagnostic and treatment via lap last November (2016) and endo was removed for the pouch around my left ovary. That pain was fine after surgery however I started getting pain during

Pelvic pain and no period

Hello all 👋 my names Tiffany and I'm 26 years old. About 6 months ago was the last (normal) period I had. After a couple months I started getting worried and took a few pregnancy tests, all which came back negative. At this point I'm 100% positive that being pregnant is not the issue as I would be 10

Rememberance Sunday.

The poppy is not a badge of honour, nor a racist smear. It's not a fashion statement, to be worn but once a year. It's not glorification of conflict nor of war. It's not a paper ornament - the poppy is much more. It's a loving memory of a father or a son. A permanent reminder of each and
