Is ADT beneficial after castration resistance sets in?
Is that because the ADT would be slowing some
castration
sensitive cancer, even though the
castration
resistant cancer is growing separately?

Help: Metastasized Castration Resistant Prostate Cancer!
— Yesterday my current doctor of the 5, given me in 16+ months, told me that I had
castration
-resistant prostate cancer and asked me in my second meeting with him if I had a living will. He told me that I may live a year or two at most.

PSA suppression
With Denmeade's BAT, testosterone levels are modulated - and there is no
castration
-only phase. In my original protocol, there was an abrupt shift from high-normal to castrate testosterone.

PSA and Testosterone
I am of the understanding that the intent of medical
castration
is to reduce T levels so low that it will reduce PSA … I’d expect if my T is so high, I’d assume that my cancer cells would be on a Testosterone feeding frenzy, but instead, PSA has almost stabilized since the last.

PSA #’s elevated from sex (After ADT and RT)
I’ve been on Active Surveillance since completing my ADT and RT both in 2017 &18 finally coming out of
castration
in 2019 / early 2020 with a basement T level, so I began Penile Rehab. Well over a year after that, I was able to resume (what I now refer to as) sexual relations with my wife!

Xtandi (enzalutamide) alone is superior to ADT alone at preventing metastases in "high-risk" recurrent men
Also improved time to PSA progression/
castration
-resistance and time to chemo. No data yet on overall survival. Men achieving PSA≤ 0.2 ng/ml were given a vacation from therapy until PSA rose again. No QOL data yet.

Statin Use Is Associated with Better Prognosis of Patients with Prostate Cancer after Definite Therapies:
Castration
therapy continues to be a "popular" PCa therapy. Early resistance continues to be common, even with add-on androgen-axis drugs. One form of resistance involves the generation of androgens from cholesterol - within the cancer cell. Statin use is insurance against that.

It's the tumor stupid
The bureaucracy says those and other treatments that may be curative are reserved for patients for whom
castration
and radiation have failed. The bureacracy also wants us to wait for five year survival numbers.

This leads to the development of “androgen-independent” malignancy; which is the status of advanced prostate cancer (
castration

How can I increase blood platelets?
This coincides with
castration
resistance setting in. Are there certain supplements that can raise the platelet count? What is the likely cause of the lower platelet count, which is normally about 130-140k for me. My recent tests have shown the count to be 100, 90, 86 and 110.

Мой опыт и мои мысли о прохождении радиолигандной терапии с использованием лиганда PSMA-617, содержащего изотопы 177Lu и 225Ac. Часть 2.
Also, I was advised to continue ADT in order to keep my Testosterone at
castration
values. Let me remind you that, by that time, I had not taken any antiandrogens. Dr.

actual castration instead of ADT
I’m just throwing this out for discussion. I’m 62 in good over shape and recently started Lupron and Zytiga. I am told I will be on these or some form of ADT for the rest of my life. Since the goal is to eliminate testosterone wouldn’t it make sense to remove the source of it? By doing so one could
