Afinitor or clinical trial
Hello everyone, I got the results back from my genomics test. The ibrance or possibly the faslodex is no longer working for me or my cancer is progressing now on that. I am advised that I have a mutation that would indicate afinitor is the best med. Or another option would be to go on a clinical trial

Decipher...0.71 What now?
Started ADT (
Casodex
/Lupron) October 6th/IMRT January 6th 2020. I was supposed to only do 4 month ADT run, but she wants me to do 6 months. I am tolerating ADT fairly well and will probably do it. She is referring me to a MO.

Line of treatment
Hi. Just wondering how long ibrance and faslodex worked for you? What was your next line of treatment. Thanks.

New member seeking strength and hope
I was thinking that perhaps an androgen blocker such as
Casodex
mono-therapy may help me get the PSA down effectively and once achieved maybe I could then drop the
Casodex
and then go back to maintaining and monitoring my PSA through my own natural protocols as I have for the past 6 years?

Which scans are suitable for recurrent PCa with very low PSA
Treatment with
Casodex
since recurrence. Current regimen 50 mg / day. PSA gradually went down from 0.18 at the beginning of 2019 to 0.05 recently. My question is : what scans are suitable in my situation? I had a Ga68 PSMA PET/CT two years ago which did not show any mets.

Oligometastatic PC and Radiation
My husband was put on
Casodex
immediately and then on Eligard. He has been fortunate to have no side effects. His current PSA is .19 and his testosterone is ‘< 10’, so the ADT has been effective.

Recurrent PC
The blood test was done last week, and came out with a PSA of 1.65, so it looks like
Casodex
has its desired effect. I have no idea how long I should continue the treatment? Initially, I have
Casodex
and tamoxifen for 3 months.

I'm on Diphereline (ADT) for 12 months now and he just started giving me
Casodex
. I just wondered why he did this if everything is stable, any ideas?

New Oncologst
Hi everyone, it’s been a while since I’ve posted but i do follow everyone’s posts. I’m seriously considering getting a new oncologist. Whenever I have called in the past with a symptom or side effects, I am mostly told “oh that’s not not a side effect” or “it doesn’t sound cancer related”. Well a few

Monotherapy to gain extra survival.
If you start with
casodex
then switch to Xtandi does the prior
casodex
affect the Xtandi. The thought is let’s say Xtandi gives you 3 years by itself then ADT is that better then combining the two. Thanks

Everything about Prostate Cancer
The oncologist put him on a hormone therapy
Casodex
(bicalutamide) daily pill and every three month hormone therapy injection. The hope is to stop the spread or shrink the cancer. Also he gets a monthly IV infusion of Zometa to help with bone damage caused by cancer spread to bone.

Update on My Lymph Node Metastatic Prostate Cancer
In November 2018, I started Lupron +
Casodex
treatment. My PSA went down rapidly: Nov 2018: 4.48, Mar 2019: 0.17, Jun 2019: 0.1, Sep 2019: 0.07, Nov 2019: 0.06. It appears that my PSA has bottomed out. My MO recommended a break from ADT, which I decided to accept.

IRE-CT as a probable option
MO prescribed
Casodex
150mg as monotherapy, which has kept PSA <3. Now has risen to 3.7 so time to act. PSMA scan and yesterday's MRI showed it's still localised but with seminal vesicle involvement. No discernible mets. Original Gleason 3+4. Prof. Stehling was very clear, very honest.

Advice for men who are about to start hormone treatment for metastatic prostate cancer?
The treatment will probably begin with
Casodex
and then add Lupron.

Saw MO yesterday
He gave me an infusion (cannot remember the name) to strengthen my bones and prescribed
Casodex
, he also discussed surgery, not full castration but just to snip the lines so to speak, which I agreed to.

Continue on Lupron or try Casodex?
Would
Casodex
be a better option? I am due for Lupron shot #3 in a few weeks.
