Low Heart rate, should I be worried?
I was cardioverted 4 times during op, felt overwhelming relief after op, maybe that was the
cardioversion
, or relief finally knowing what the real issues were. I’m sole carer for my beloved Veteran husband, who is 83, so I often tend to put my stuff to one side .

Feeling good, Why?
I (53 year old, non smoker, over weight) had radio frequency ablation in April 2019, following blanking period and
cardioversion
June 4th 2019, all running well. No episode of Afib, EF 55+, feel good.

Tired of waiting
After failed
cardioversion
I now have to wait 6 months to see EP to arrange ablation which will probably be another long wait to carry out- does this timescale sound the norm to everyone? Any ideas how to speed things up ?many thanks - I live in London/Kent

New to digoxin
Cardioversion
in the new year by the looks of it. Now my question is he insists he was told to start it tomorrow morning one a day. But the pharmacists label says take 2 immediately then one a day. Is this right? Thanks

Back in sinus rhythm but still got AF symptoms
Hi everyone - my first post ... I've had three cardioversions and was doing well until recently when I got palpitations and my legs gave way. The funny thing is that I'm back in sinus rhythm but now feel tired, breathless and on and off light-headed like I was before my cardioversions. I'm on flecanide

I was addmitted, and after 15 days in the cardiac ward of Universidad Hospital, Malaga I was implanted with an Implanted
Cardioversion
Defibrilator (ICD). I was also put on a load of medication and now have my 6 a day for heart rate, blood pressure, statins etc.

Cardioversion
They are suggesting I try a
cardioversion
, which I am having next Wednesday. Questions:- What are the chances of this actually working as I am unaware of the Afib - that could have been present before the PE perhaps? If it does work, how long will it last? If it doesn't - what then? "Live" with it?

Cardioversion today didn’t work
How long did anyone here wait for next step after failed
Cardioversion
? As in waiting see doctor then wait for ablation. So devastated as think I’m going to have to cancel holiday to USA as won’t get insurance whilst awaiting treatment doubt it will be sorted by February.

How often should we get an ECG
Still, my avatar is the same :-) I have had
cardioversion
(18th Sept 19) which has worked, I think, still no follow up appointment and I would have thought I would have one by now? How often would be reasonable for an ECG? Geoff

Symptomless Afib
I even went for a routine visit to the Cardio, completely unaware of the fact I was in AF, he said he could do a
cardioversion
if I liked, whilst I was there or just carry on with the medication. I opted for the
cardioversion
, which was quick and easy, but carried on with the tablets.

First Electro Cardioversion
I am anticipating my first electro
Cardioversion
(aka the paddles). I have a question. What are the risks? In particular, what are the chances of a clot being thrown out of the heart? I have been on Apixaban for about 2 years.

Update
I am on the list for a
cardioversion
although he said it might be a couple of months. He also suggested that I might like to consider an ablation in the future due to my age. All seems really scary at the moment. Take care everyone Deb x

GP Surgery will not offer thinning.... Help Please.
I may not be over 65 and may not be suffering hypertension, but at 53 I am a lot closer to 65 than when I had my first
cardioversion
at 23 and I do have periods where my BP can be 145/85......

No PIP after Ablation.
( With the
Cardioversion
the Consultant uses a different method to my previous three, he places one pad on the left chest and one directly behind it on the back, it requires less electricity apparently.

New episode
For context, I've had momentary palpitations for years but 2 years ago had an episode of AF with irregular heartbeat and needed a
cardioversion
to fix it. Since then I've been on 5mg Bisoprolol and Amlodipine daily to also keep high blood pressure in check.

I used to have a strong healthy heart
He did the
cardioversion
, echocardiogram and angiogram. The
cardioversion
got my heart back to normal for a brief time only. The echocardiogram showed enlarged left atrium, and the angiogram showed absolutely no obstructions in my blood vessels.
