Many thanks
Sincere thanks to all who answered my question about
cardioversion
it's helped a lot. As far as the side effects are concerned, I have to agree with what most of you have said about not putting up with them, however, getting something done about them is another matter.

Back in AF
I’ve just had my first
Cardioversion
, for persistent AF back in after NSR.....after 3rd Zap.....but 2 days later, I seem to be skipping a beat ? Not 100% sure though ! Thinking of getting it checked out , but in meantime I’d like to be certain myself.

Ablation Age Limit ?
Hi I had my first ablation on November 5th in the Essex Cardiac Centre, after two failed cardioversions in 2019. The EP took me by surprise before the procedure by stating I was lucky to be having it, as it's not normally offered to patients over 70 (I am otherwise healthy 76) as the risks were higher

Ramipril and amlodipine?
I had a
cardioversion
in Sept 2019 and PVI ablation Jan 2020. I was originally on losartan but got horrendous side effects so GP changed me to Ramipril 2.5 mg. BP remained high so dose increased to 5mg about 2 months ago. BP still high.

Treatment for Atrial Flutter
She said he will probably recommend a
cardioversion
. I'm not a fan of
cardioversion
- had one and the afib returned rather quickly. I'm wondering if anyone has found a treatment that works.

3 months after cardioversion still in NSR
Had telephone consultation with my cardiologist yesterday- I am feeling better in these 3 months but still tired - on Nebivolo/flecainide and apaxiban he suggested to continue as I am and if no improvement consider an ablation in one years time he said the A fib will probably return at some time - did

Asymptomatic AFIB - What's Next
I've had asymptomatic AFIB for at least 15 years. I've had a non-defibrating pacemaker that long for another issue. I transmit my pacemaker data by telephone (using a Medtronic device) every 90 days, and have an in-person check twice annually. My in-person check last week revealed that I am in AFIB

Week 13 following my ablation
So was admitted to CCU- further waiting and eventually underwent
cardioversion
12 and a half hours later!! Bruising and burns on my chest but thankfully now back in normal sinus rhythm. Was told by a very energetic young nurse, 'well now love thats all done, you can go home'.

Cardioversion for AF
I’m scheduled for a
cardioversion
in a couple of weeks and I feel really anxious. Since I’ve never had a symptom I’m struggling to reconcile the risks verses the benefits. Does anyone have any words of wisdom?

Cardioversion recovery?
I have recently had a cardio version to help with my irregular heart beat 2 months ago it was successfull and I am still in a sinus rythem I think. I get a few twinges every now and again when I’m resting not sure much when my mind is busy could this be muscle pain from the procedure? Or a bit of anxiety

Flecainide and liver change
I am also due for a DC
Cardioversion
in 10 days so not sure what the EP was planning post CV but may need to rethink continuing with flec post CV if it’s causing a change in my liver function. Any words of wisdom.

I have permanent AF without obvous symptoms - should I take up an offer to have catheter ablation?
So I had the
cardioversion
and am now out of hospital and (temporarily) in sinus rythm. I feel great but I was not so bad before, its really hard for me to assess just how much benefit I have from being in sinus rythm.

RLS free for a week!
In the meantime I got cellulitis in my lower right leg, which led to atrial fibrillation of 170 beats a minute and five nights in hospital, and then a
cardioversion
(which worked fine yaye).

Crackling Breathing
I have had this quite some time ago when I was having water retention issues but that has been ok for a couple of years now and I'm just baffled why this has kicked in since the
cardioversion
. Any ideas please folks?
