Catheter ablation
My daughter aged 23 had an ablation yesterday but they were unable to trigger the episodes. Has anyone else experienced this as she is feeling so fed up that they could do it .

Ablation 4 weeks ago, SVT's have started again. Anyone else? Advice from Cardiologists?
Male, 26yrs, 5ft 9 and 67kg. Almost 4 weeks ago (2nd December 2021) I had a Electrophysiology Study (EP) and catheter ablation to cure AVRT which was causing episodes of SVT from a young age. I was diagnosed with Wolff Parkinson White Syndrome late November 2021 and they got me in as soon as they could

Afib and aflutter
I’m new here and looking for similar conditions and ideas to cope. I had Afib for 20 straight months. After 5 cardio and 1 ablation I finally was out of Afib which lasted about a year. Then into aflutter which has turned out to be more debilitating than Afib. Ive had cardioversions and ablation that

Should I have an ablation?
I’ve been told by the
cardiac
nurse that I’ve been referred for an
ablation
. I’m wondering if I need it? I’m in constant sinus rhythm now and the meds seem to be keeping the atrial flutter at bay. I do have eptopics but was told not to worry.

AV node ablation
Hi all Need some advice, have a two lead pacemaker (4years) Now advised to have an A V. Node ablation. Seeing the cardiologist on Thursday at Barts. Open heart surgery for mitral valve repair (18 years) June of last year diagnosed with Polymyagia, and taking steroids, now reducing them, hoping this

AV Node Ablation Update
Hello and Happy and Healthy New Year to everyone Thought I’d update you on my current situation. I had a Pacemaker fitted on June 30th as the first stage of Pace and Ablate after my third ablation failed in Sept 2020 and drugs didn’t help. The AV node ablation was meant to be 4-6 weeks after the PaceMaker

Ablation worries
I had a phone chat with a heart Dr, this morning. He went on about a catheter ablation again. If it stopped my SVT and AF episodes, it might be worth considering, but I’m very scared of having it done. It does have it’s risks and you can end up with a pacemaker and it can be fatal in rare cases. I also

Sleep-disordered breathing affects as many as 74% of all patients with AF and has been identified as an independent predictor of stroke, per the most recent data. High heart rate post-ablation
I had a
cardiac
ablation
for both AF and flutter 4 weeks ago. Recovery has been pretty smooth; one episode at 10 days where i had a heart rate of like 150 bpm for 4 hours, but it settled on its own. at 2 week check-up, EKG showed no sign of AF, but some flutter.

Catheter Ablation
Hi. I have an ablation booked for next week. Bit nervous. Does anybody know if there are any long term implications related to having this procedure? I’m wondering if it can damage your heart in any way or whether it means you can’t have certain treatment at a later stage. Also does anyone know if you

Left or right femoral vein entry ?
Femoral vein (groin area) entry for an ablation catheter sounds from comments that it's usually the right leg. Just wondering if left leg entry is just to suit the operator who might be left handed ?

AV Node Ablation appointment.
Hello, not been around much but have been reading. I’ve been feeling a bit down with how things were going. I have permanent fast AF and had a Pacemaker at the end of June and was told I wouldn’t feel any benefit until after my AV Node Ablation which would be 4-6 weeks later. Unfortunately I had no news

Are there any natural supplements really worth taking for AFib? There’s so many claims out there.
Curious about supplements but also curious about medical treatments of
cardiac
version and
ablation
as I’m seeing arythmia nurse to discuss options next week. Any info please?

Want to mange this thing!
I had catheter ablation for supraventricular Tachycardia in March and second one in June. Was told 2nd ablation would fix me, as the Electrophysiologist now knew what to do/where to ablate and would use special mapping equipment and higher powered catheters. He ablated SVT site and found a Flutter site
