Pace and Ablate - Symptoms of Heart Failure after pacemaker and AV node ablation
My pacemaker was inserted three weeks ago for symptomatic persistent a-fib that no longer responds to meds, cardioversion, or ablation. I had to wait for the AVN ablation since I am sensitive to silicone and the pacemaker parts are coated with it. I haven't had any rejection symptoms therefore my AV

MedCity article: How pulsed-field ablation can transform the treatment of atrial fibrillation
I discovered today a new article which I'm sure will be of interest to many here who suffer with AF and are considering a
cardiac
ablation
at some point in the future.

Post Ablation Dyspnea (Shortness of Breath) and Skipping Beats
Hey All! My quick resume follows; Diagnosed in June 2020 with Afib. Had some but relatively mild symptoms. I was on metoprolol and propafenon for over a year. At one follow up visit, a doctor decided to cut the medication and I was medication free for a year. Then during another 6-month follow up

Correction to Bambi!
Bambi I replied to your last post but there are 162 relies hence repeat here The mini maze isolates the pulmonary veins from the outside and catheter ablation does it from the inside. Some maze procedures do both. It’s not news! A F doesn’t appear outside the heart as you say it’s the procedure that

Going in For Second Ablation
I had my first
ablation
over four years ago, at Texas
Cardiac
Arrythmia with Dr. Andrea Natale. I wasn't able to come off my medication after, but the meds then worked to control my afib and numerous PVCs where it didn't pre-ablation.

Soon to receive a pacemaker and AV node ablation
Hi. I'm just wondering if anybody on here has had the same procedure. I don't quite understand why some people just get the pacemaker and others need the ablation too? Also, approx how long between the two procedures and why the wait? Thanks in advance 👍

Pain suspected endometriosis
I had an endometrial ablation of the womb lining in 2018, and I hoped this had resolved my monthly issues. Last August, I was in pain with my tummy and had a stabbing pain in my left ovary. I have had 2 ultra-sound scans and have been advised I have an ovarian cyst on the left ovary. It's 1.5 cm and

Wait time to see cardiologist
Hello everyone. My PAF has become worse over last 6 months particularly when I'm walking dog. (End up with a afib every time). Doc spoke to my cardiologist who suggested catheter ablation but need to see me with ecgs. So doc referred me but a 46 week wait for appt. Doc has now expedited me but still

Dapagliflozin
Hi, All. Been pre pandemic since I've been here! Just before that started, I had an av node ablation done in early January 2020. I've felt great ever since. Highly recommended, no pain or discomfort during the procedure and it only took 45 minutes. My latest news is that I've been put on Dapagliflozin

AV Node Ablation and Pacemaker
I was told by several doctors that a
cardiac
ablation
would probably not be successful so I went with the AV Node Ablation. Anyway, the procedure is done and I am still getting used to the pacemaker.
