Docetaxel not working so stopped
When pressed he said there is Cabizataxel and/or
Carboplatin
available on the NHS. My inclination is to take things into my own hands at this point - self-fund a liquid biopsy to see if there are any mutations that suggest treatments.

Where's the fire in delaying/pausing chemo?
3 weeks ago I started chemo with the Cabazitaxel/
Carboplatin
combination (I'd rather not name the hospital for now) I had a bad reaction to the first infusion (it turned out that I had an undetected infection, so my immunity was rock-bottom) As a result of that experience (10 days in hospital, wiped

I was treated with 4 rounds of atezolizumab/
carboplatin
/etoposide (chemotherapy and immunotherapy). A pet/CT scan shows it was effective, and I fared better than I expected going in, but definitely have fatigue and weakness.

Small cell advanced prostate cancer spread to liver and lungs.
A different chemotherapy has been proposed (now confirmed as
Carboplatin
+ Etoposide). Please does anyone have any suggestions, recommendations 🙏. Thank you.

Genetic testing and Second Opinion – A result!
If they don’t, the only thing left on the NHS is
carboplatin
which apparently doesn’t need good liver functions. I suggested a list of other possible treatments for the liver mets including SBRT, SIRT and ablation.

Surviving cancer: some options for you to consider
Mon-Fri I decided to have 23 treatments of: radiotherapy, and Friday's, the added chemotherapy mix of
carboplatin
and Plaxetaxel (Apparently Flox is too strong for my body to accept).

Update on neuroendocerine prostate cancer mets to liver.
He had 6 cycles of Etoposide and
Carboplatin
. This combination of chemo worked very well. As we are looking at getting Pluvicto for his bone mets we also organised an FDG scan.

The oncologist wants to give me zoledronic acid again about every 3 weeks and has said they will treat me with
carboplatin
and gemcitibane to try to reduce the cancerous lymph nodes.

Have you had chemo via cannula?
I asked about a port as I’ve seen many positive stories from patients who have one, but due it just being
carboplatin
(no placlitaxel), it takes less than 2 hours to administer including pre and post meds/flushes.

Looking for new treatment
The low platelet count has resulted in four weeks between infusions (
carboplatin
, Cabazitaxel). Also, after 3 infusions my PSA is rising. What combination treatment is still available??? My profile is up to date. Thank you!

BAT trial update
I commenced the trial about 2 months ago and I have now had 2 cycles of treatment consisting of testosterone injections and
carboplatin
infusions. 5 days ago I had my first CT and bone scans and the trial leader tells me my 3 detectable rib metastases are 'stable'.

Anyone treated with enzalutamide +cabazitaxel?
I've had sequentially ADT+abiraterone; docetaxel+
carboplatin
; Pluvicto. PSA never got below 3. Latest CT bone scan shows progression in a few areas. RO will zap the progressing areas locally. MO suggested cabazitaxel (1st choice) or enzalutamide (discouraged because cancer is aggressive).

Lung Cancer Treatment
I will be having paclitaxel,
carboplatin
, every 3 weeks for 4 rounds & pembrolizumab at the same time, then every 6 weeks for 2 years. Just wondered if anyone has had similar and how they got on? In August the hospital changed my inhalers to Anoro + Easyhaler.
