vitamin K2
There are claims that it reduces
calcium
deposits in arteries. If so, would it cause problems for PV patients?

Advice Please
I’d stopped Biotin, Omega 3,
Calcium
Citrate, Vitamin D3 + Mk7, Folic Acid 5 days previously and my weekly injection of MTX was 2 days beforehand.

Anyone had any issues with this affecting absorption of
calcium
or other minerals? Have a bone density problem and can't afford for it to do that. Also getting tingling in toes, fingers and lips which can apparently be a sign of deficiency. Anyone know anything about this?

Supplements for 2nd trimester
Hello all, I’m 16 weeks pregnant now and as it’s my first pregnancy I’m not sure whether I should just go for Iron, Protein,
Calcium
supplements or wait for my midwife to suggest.

My MPN family need help/advice for natural way to treat minor Osteoporosis.
I am considering to take
calcium
and if you could suggest dosage and a very good one (brand). Did anyone had this experience, medicine for it and how did that went? I have contacted my MPN team and waiting for replay. Please advise. Wishing you well.

Low PTH
My phosphorus and
calcium
are both within range so I'm not sure what's causing it. I see my primary doc on Mon and I'll ask her but was curious as to anyone else having this. I still have my glands so that's not the cause.

Just a little rant
So here I am, switched to organic egg shell
calcium
( studies show this form absorbs over 60 percent more than any other form of
calcium
) and take small amount of vitamin C before meals and the meals I eat where I take my
calcium
, I finish that meal with Citric Acid.

More On Rate Control Meds
They preferentially bind to activated
calcium
channels making their effect on heart rate use dependent.

Multiple nodules thyroid
I have been advised to completely remove the thyroid, but I wish to try RFA to reduce them volume and prevent the complications streaming from parathyroid glands removal( 4 small glands responsible for the body
calcium
level).

Thoughts on Denosumab in my case
Have added
calcium
. The extreme potential side effects of Denosumab are unsettling. PC is locally advanced (seminal vessels) but negative PSMA Pet Scan for spread.

Dairy (including milk, kefir, yogurt etc.) actually increases bone fractures?
Many doctors and articles seem to tout dairy for the
calcium
to help build bone density, yet I am reading more articles that seem to reinforce the studies which find that not only does it not help, it is actually detrimental and increases risk of fracture and even Parkinsons disease. Anyone else?

Ibrance and supplements
My oncologist recommended not to take
calcium
and vitamin D because I have a high level of
calcium
in my blood. I mainly use vitamin C, and I try to compensate everything else from food. I am 69 years old and use Ibrance 100 + fulvestrant monthly and zometa every 3 months.

My response to WinnieThePoo.
Overstimulation of NMDA glutamate receptor would then lead to neuronal
calcium
overload. Some types of AMPA and kainate receptors can contribute to intracellular
calcium
overload because their coupled membrane ion channels are at least partially permeable to
calcium

Heart Calcium Score scan scare
Hello all. Last week I had a scan done that my Dr ordered because I am diabetic and over 50. I can exercise fine with my heart rate to 170 at times. I don't have any heart disease in my family on both sides. My cholesterol and triglycerides are all well within normal range but..........this score

Definitely not as bad as the
calcium
channel blockers or nitro that I tried before . I am very unsure of what to do . I take 500mg as I am very sensitive to meds . My chest tightness, pain and sweating have not gone away . I had 3 nights with feeling unwell ,palpitations ,profuse sweating ,etc .

Calcium
My Gp informed me that my
calcium
levels are still too high. I've been looking up foods to cut out but find
calcium
seems to be in most foods, even in vegetables. I eat very little dairy so not sure what else I can do. Would be greatful for any suggestions, Aquagran

Leg swelling - hyperthyroid
My last blood test on Dec 7 showed my thyroid numbers are in the normal range for the most part and so my Carbimazole dose was reduced to 5mg once per day; I was taken off the
calcium
channel blocker. I had the flu last week and now see that my legs are starting to swell since the weekend.
