Tumor markers
Help! I’m freaking out! I’m on letrezole and ibrance and have been doing well with tumor markers that have steadily dropped into the normal range. I just saw my labs from yesterday and my ca 27 29 is still in the normal range but my ca125 skyrocketed to 298!! My AP (liver enzyme) was also low at 35.

Xeloda
Had progression to spine and hips after 6 months of Ibrance and Letrozole. Got 2nd opinion on what to try next @ Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Will be starting Xeloda next. Am encouraged that this may work for awhile for me. We are going to start with a lower dose and titrate up to limit side effects

Chronic colds? or Ibrance reaction?
I noticed someone said she had to stop Ibrance because she had a couple of colds. I haven't stopped Ibrance when I have had cold symptons. I never got colds. For the last month or so, I have what seems to be a cold for a couple of days every week. It starts mid-week and is over by the week-end. A full

MBC and Vaccine.
Morning everyone. I have been invited to have my first vaccine and I’m going on Friday to some obscure out of the way Centre. Thing is I haven’t had a conversation with my GP or Oncologist about it but a lovely lady put on here she was advised to have it on her week off. Fortunately it is my week off

Understanding Pet scan results
Hi to all, Great being able to share. Had my 3rd pet scan yesterday and saw onc this morning. Results are good but I have problems understanding them. Suvmax on two bones around 1.6 = complete metabolic response on bones - I originally had 9 bone mets. Suvmax on breast 5.5 = partial response. Onc suggests

Letrozole (Femara} vs Arimidex
Hi Ladies. I hear the daffodils in Scotland are peeking through so we have Spring to look forward to. No sign of them here in Wa State but maybe I’ve just missed them. A little history is that I had a double mastectomy in 2007 with reconstruction for invasive BC. Chemo wasn’t suggested and I declined
