I've been following the posts and find them all helpful and inspirational. This is the first time I've posted. I had stage 1 breast cancer in 2016. A lumpectomy and 21 rounds of radiation (so it wouldn't come back). I was done, put it behind me and moved on. In March, while bathing, I noticed several

Need help reading FISH results
Hi all, While organizing my CLL paperwork this weekend, I noticed a page 3 on my FISH test that was missing from my other copies. I could use help deciphering it. I know I have Trisomy 12. But what does this mean, next to the Abnormal/Trisomy 12 (50%): 12p11.1-q11. D12Z3. I’ve read other posts here

Great News
For the first time in 2 1/2 years my cat scan yesterday showed that my lung tumors are stable. If my mammogram on Friday is clear, I should have a very happy visit with my oncologist on Monday.

Breast implant associated small cell lymphoma!
I am wondering if anyone is confronted with this. I had a saline implant post mastectomy in 2012. I received a letter from my plastic surgeon stating that the FDA has put out new data stating that the texture of the implant, saline and silicone can lead to this new cancer which is not related to breast

Meet Our Survivors: Deborah Treadway
From MSAnderdon feature article, 10/18 BY: DEBORAH TREADWAY “The key is early detection” Last year, at age 65, I thought my world had stopped. Not me. No. Never. Not possible. I thought this could never happen to me. Hey wait, I’m planning to compete as a swimmer in the Texas Senior Games in April

Promising Experimental Drug to Watch
Here's an interesting experimental drug to watch if your cancer is HER2 positive or HER2 low (IHC 2+ or IHC 1+). It has been written up in my book, "The Insider's Guide to Metastatic Breast Cancer" which is available in paperback and eBook formats as well as in a complimentary .pdf. If interested,

I am soon to start inhaled Pentamidine instead of Atovaquone to prevent PCP - has anyone suffered any side affects from this?
I've taken Atovaquone, to prevent PCP, throughout my chemo and the last 7months post chemo. At my last Clinic appointment the Consultant decided that when I finish my present prescription of Atovaquone, I will commence inhaled Pentamidine once every 4 weeks instead of the Atovaquone . I'm wondering if

Sick, tired, only got one run in the last 2 weeks...
I've got 'flu (proper 'flu with 102F at times) and it has been going on for 2 weeks. This explains why you have not seen me post, except as comments. On Saturday I was in Hoddesdon, Herts, for a conference (warning: conferences when you have 'flu are horrible), I thought I was getting better, but it
