I know there are many knowledgable people on this site so I'm hoping somebody can help. I have stage 4 emphysema. Cutting a long story short grandson came over with bad cough and 4 days later I develop a cough and the next day I was so sob I could hardly talk. Went to local GP who said chest infection

Another quick question:
Anyone know how many puffs of salbutamol you take when using the inhaler with a spacer? I haven't thought the inhaler was working for me for ages and have been using a nebuliser for delivery but my respiratory nurse is encouraging me to try again and not use the nebuliser as apparently the receptors

Recent flare up
Hi guys, Very new to this and keen to get a view from those with similar experiences. I was diagnosed with asthma when wasaround 8/9 years old, but never had any symptoms until around a year or so ago (I'm 29 now). About a year or so back I experienced chest tightness etc and GP said it was my asthma

Hi I was wondering if anyone can help ? Been to see my consultant today and he has prescribed a home nebuliser. I just wondered if anyone knew what I had to do about travelling abroad? Any recommendations for travel insurance? Thanks 😊

Flying with severe asthma
Hi - I have an amazing chance to go for a very exciting (for me) day out but to get there I would have to take a short flight on my own. I haven’t flown recently at all and my last few flights have been tricky for my asthma. Since then my asthma has got much worse and I’ve been reacting to more and more

‘Textbook asthma’ if there is such a thing!
Got told by the paramedics today that I’m an enigma! I’ve had asthma since I was two and I’m now thirty two, my wheeze has always been upper respiratory and my SATS are always 100% I have stridor with every attack and I’m that calm that paramedics have walked in and said, ‘oh it is you, you’re very

Portable Nebulisers
Over the years I have used many different portable nebulisers and via my blog and on social media I am often asked which one is the best, so I have decided to review / compare the ones that I have used. Please have a read, let me know if you agree or disagree and also if anyone has a portable nebuliser

Refused Salbutamol
Hi I have had quite bad asthma since being a toddler and also have life threatening allergies for which I carry an epi pen. My current medication for asthma is seretide and salbutamol. I have regularly attended hospital to be placed on a nebuliser and courses of steroid tablets. Last year my GP practice
