Anxiety and irrational thinking/ hallucinations
She has special blazers to help that and has gotten
Botox
to help keep her eyes open. It has helped. The crapping ( Charlie horses ) that she gets seems to be under control. The issue that I am having is the lack of reasoning or comprehending things.

Do the new CGRP preventative medications reduce migraine symptoms other than pain?
I’m curious- has anyone had success with treatment using
Botox
or Aimovig, etc. and have had either of these meds help with the other frustrating migraine symptoms? Thanks...

New here.
Currently receive
botox
for the CD and started for the bleph last month. Also do a small dose of trihexiphenidyl (artane) and propranalol as needed for overall shakiness and anxiety. I guess I am here because I am scared and upset.

Chicken or Egg?
So, just diagnosed with Cervical Dystonia & I have a wonderful doctor who began
Botox
right away. ( well, quickly...these's paper work & insurance...) It was freeing to be handed a fact sheet about Dystonia & advice to join support groups.

Alien limb treatments
We have tried massage and splints and our UCL neurologist suggested
Botox
injections but we have been advised that there are only 2 consultants in the north east who can administer and it would require a week of hospitalisation! Any advice welcome. Thanks

Bruxism Treatment?
I'm sure I've heard of
Botox
for jaw problems but all the health professionals just look at me blankly. Has anyone here had any successful treatment for Bruxism?

GCA helpful information (I hope).
In addition, my face swelled up like a hamster, though as my daughter so kindly put it “You don’t need
Botox
now” and ( really devastating), my hair fell out (Google “telegenic effluvium”).

Excessive saliva!
I get
Botox
shots every 12 weeks in my salivary glands and wear a scopolamine patch that gets changed every 72 hours! My neurologist suggested that I go to an ENT doctor to discuss having my salivary gland removed! Has anyone had this done?

Pain is so bad and my blocks aren’t working anymore.
Only my PGAD isn’t pleasurable it feels like a
botox
needle jabbing me constantly in the clitoris for about 4-5 hours which is followed by a beautiful sensation of increased burning in the vagina and the rectum. That’s just part of my symptoms. But yet I still fight every day. I still get up.

Am I expecting too much from my first Botox?
Was the dosage too low or am I perhaps immune to
Botox
(I gather it doesn't work for everyone)? Any comments gratefully received!

Has anyone with hemiplegic migraines had success with Botox?
I'm hopeful but nervous and was hoping to hear from other hemiplegic migraine sufferers that had seen a decrease in monthly migraines with
Botox
treatments.

Helping Patients Cope With Chronic Pain
Nerve block therapies and
Botox
injections can help with specific indications. Cortisone injections are used for certain types of muscle and joint pain, although they do not provide long-term benefits and have to be repeated.

Diagnosis. And still I Question...
I was just diagnosed with cervical dystonia by a neurologist who wants to help with
botox
. I need to decide. Is there a group I could call for advice or questions over the phone? Or just on line? Who wants to help me? Here's what's going on in my head.

Dystonia without Tremor?
I was referred to a neurologist specializing in
botox
treatment for headaches. What a wonderful find! I have been suffering on and off with muscle tightness over many years.
