Hi, Just wondered what your recommended hints and tips are for relief from chickenpox for my DD who is 2! How long did your children have chicken pox for and how unwell did they become? Unsettled nights etc. Thanks in advance x

ICSI risks?!
Last week my partner and I completed our first egg collection. Everything went well on my side; I was elated with my 20 eggs đź’Ş but the embryologist decided on the day to do ICSI instead of IVF due to my partners sperm. 7 fertilised the next day and they're now in the freezer until we're ready to transfer

I’m back again …5th cycle 🤞
It feels very daunting , been over a year. Not planned to wait this long but had so many set backs. I had my laporoscopy surgery in June (after been cancelled 3 times ) , recovery and then a week before I was meant to start next cycle , I caught covid. I had an appointment last week with miscarriage

Spinal injection
Hi everyone wow look at all these replies tells me there is a grey area on this subject. I had an injection in 2014 I only got 2 weeks relief so they wouldnt give me another one. I've had guided steroid injections in my 2 shoulders and omg it worked instantly!!!!. I've suffered ever since I had surgery

Combining the Influenza and COVID-19 vaccines.
I have read of some people who got both vaccines at the same time, and their experience was not good. However perhaps a different kind of Influenza vaccine combined with a COVID-19 vaccine might make things easier.? This approach is now being tested. Pfizer and BioNTech Announce Positive Topline

Back on the road
A while since my last post ... I did re-graduate C25K and then after two days I did a first post-grad run of just 20 minutes. Another couple of days and I did 25 minutes. Then I got ill. Probably just a cold as I tested negative for Covid. Took me a week to feel better. Gave it a few days and then tried

mucus plugs (plastic bronchitis)
Hi, sorry for gross question but... A long story short: I was in hospital for a severe asthma flare up in September for 12 days (when I was first diagnosed). I was on oxygen and not improving. They gave me a lot of saline and salbutamol nebs. What eventually worked for me was that I coughed up a lot

NSR with supraventricular ectopy!
I just woke for a wee and my heart felt weird with odd pulse so used my Kardia and got this. I’ve had a nasty cold and cough for about a week - might that be what’s causing it. Last time it happened I’d taken something that contained caffeine so haven’t had it again and did have some cough medicine yesterday

GCA-Lyme Disease Connection?
Hi all, My wife is a long-time Lyme Disease sufferer, and has recently had a consultation with a biologist/pathologist. This person takes a blood sample and then looks at it under the microscope while the patient is present -- and then comments on what has been seen. My wife had the classic signs

Delay starting hydrea for vaccines?
Unfortunately, this question came to me after I saw the doctor. A month ago, I was referred to a hematologist for abdominal pain, abnormal CBC and splenomegaly. This week, after finding JAK2 and a confirmatory bone marrow analysis, the doctor prescribed 500mg HU per day for PV and scheduled a return

10 eggs at EC, only 3 fertilised!
Hi all, I know it only takes one, but I also know at 42 that time isn’t on my side. (I’m 42 OE, OH is 51, I know, geriatric mother!) First ever IVF round and first ever EC yesterday (Saturday 13th). I had 6/7 juicy follicles on Wednesday and another 6 just behind and retrieved 10 eggs on the day (

Urologist / Andrologist
Hello lovely people, Could you please recommend (PM me, please) an urologist or andrologist in Milton Keynes area or London who can help us to investigate 100% antibodies in semen? My partner already had advanced semen tests like DNA fragmentation etc, however the only two worrying factors are 100%

Loosing hope
Hi everyone - sorry, this is a long one! Grab a brew… Our first IVF round failed in February and we didn’t get any in the freezer. My OH’s semen analysis was really positive, so the focus has been on me with my low AMH levels, previous ovarian surgery and age (38). We only got 2 eggs, both fertilised

Can I transmit Covid19 if I have recovered?
I live at home, and tested positive for Covid 9 days ago, and did not isolate from my parents during this time. I am now testing negative, and have plans with my girlfriend this weekend. However, it turns out my parents have now tested positive and I still have cold symptoms (even with a neg test).
