Cortisol Blood Test
Hi everyone, spoke to my GP regarding cortisol levels, felt sure I was dipping from mid afternoon onwards what with salt cravings etc. He wants me to go to hospital for blood tests tomorrow, would it be better to go later in the day? Think he wants me to go in the morning but I think levels are high

Carbimazole and taste loss
Hi, I'm new here and was just wondering if anyone else has experienced taste loss whilst on Carbimazole. I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism in December and was put on 40mg at first. At the end of January I suddenly lost all taste. After a blood test at 6 weeks my endocrinologist halved my dose but

Heart worries
Hi All, I have been having an ache in my chest for a number of weeks. The other night I woke up with chest pain. Ended up in A & E and had all the usual tests - ecg., bloods, chest x-ray. Very conscientious doctor couldn't find a problem although he did say troponin was 'slightly elevated'. Repeated

My Gabapentin Dilemma
Help! I need some advice regarding my Gabapentin treatments. This is my first post so I hope I don’t ramble too much. I’m over 70 years old with RLS for over 30-40 years. Fortunately I don’t have RLS attacks during the day but have them almost every night after I fall asleep. On high doses of Gabapentin

Newbie trying to get off Pram
I've been on 2x 0.088 for a while. Compared to what I've been reading on the forum it sounds a low dose....I think.I started augmenting so managed to get Gaba from GP the other day. GP said I could come straight off Pram but I've taken 1 x 0.088 tonight with 300mg gaba. It's 02.15 and my legs are going

Starting Third Month of Orgovyx--Update
Blood test after two months shows PSA of 1.45, down from 16.5--over a 90% drop. So, the medication is working as advertised. I believe their own stats indicate an approx. 98% drop in 90 days. This week's visit with my new MO nurse practitioner went well. She was very happy with the PSA results and

Pes Anserine Bursitis - steroid injection offered.
On Thursday I had an appointment with a rheumatologist who had previously been quite impatient and dismissive of me. I made up my mind to give him the briefest details of my woes over the last 9 months. (This is a 6 monthly appointment 😂). He was happy for me to continue with my slow tapering and then
