Newly diagnosed
Biopsy
was done at end of August, which showed significant tumor development on the right side and a Gleason score of 4,5 or 5,4 in half of the cores taken. Then had a psma scan done which found no spread, which was the first good news I've had since I first started down this path.

Trying to get to retirement before HT
My PSA level before the
biopsy
was 8.1, and my Gleason Score was 4+4. Fortunately, there are no signs of metastases. Although my treatment hasn't started yet, it's likely that I'll begin radiation therapy in early December.

I often wonder if I was mis-diagnosed but my Consultant has gone over my original notes and
biopsy
results and say the diagnosis is correct.

JAK2 Equivocal 1-3% 0 PV Dx - now not being detected
I have PV with JAK2 + but always at low level 1-3% which technically is below WHO criteria but BM
biopsy
showed some markers. HCT was high along with other bloods but following 2 venesections which made me anaemic and low iron. JAK2 run again and is now not being detected ??? What does this mean?

Possible GCA and Treatment Questions
Should I have quickly transferred to another hospital that could have done the
biopsy
test? How would that have made a difference in my future treatment? 4.

ctDNA - signatera
It is somewhat new science and compares a current blood draw to original tumor
biopsy
tissue. It then look for a match and works to to detect circulating tumor dna (ctDNA) in blood. It assigns a numbers as to how much ctDNA is found.

Voice changes
After the drama with the thyroid I managed a quick breast lump and had a
biopsy
that fortunately was just a harmless fibroadenoma. Saw the Endocrinologist about the thyroid and he took more blood and I mentioned I had problems with my voice. It’s weaker and goes croaky from time to time.

Sigmoidoscopy
Hi Had a sigmoidoscopy on Saturday, which I had under sedation, I found it a bit uncomfortable. Diverticulosis found, which I already knew about from a colonoscopy a few years ago. Biopsies taken. Yesterday bowel felt fine, however today I am in quite a bit of lower bowel pain. Just wondering why I

Change in low grade diagnosis -to high grade ovarian carcino sarcoma?
I am 47 years old and am nearly 4 weeks post cyto-reductive surgery for stage 3C ovarian cancer -
biopsy
prior to surgery showed it was low grade serous ovarian cancer (lgsoc) and I had been getting my head round that diagnosis.

update on SIBO and antibiotics
firstly thank you so much for all your comments because you gave me the confidence to start the rifamixin course. I am now on day 5 of 3 x 550gm tabs daily for 10 days. Yesterday was my first fairly ok day in ages so I’m beginning to hope I may get some relief, which will be wonderful. My gastro report

After 2 Nuclear Ligand treatments should I still have severe bone pain in my lower back?
My SO was diagnosed last year with stage 4 Prostate cancer. Although his PSA never went extremely high (8.0) his Gleason scores were two 8's and a 9. The cancer when diagnosed consumed his complete prostate and was found in the vertebras of his neck, shoulder and shoulder socket plus his pelvis and

ADH surgery or not?
I was just diagnosed with ADH after a needle
biopsy
. I am now being referred for surgery. I’m aware of the multitude of over diagnosis studies that are out there so feel just consulting with a surgeon on what to do next is a little short sighted.

advice needed
I was also told that a
biopsy
showed that I had oedematous colonic mucosa in the ascending colon and rectum. I have no clue what this is. GP said I needed to contact hospital where I had colonoscopy done - they are not replying to my emails (I’ve now sent 3).

New to the form
hello, My mum sent me this information with the hopes that I can find support and information as I’m starting out my journey. I had been having irregular periods and lower back pain for a few months. I would take medication and just push on. In December, I had such severe pain I called my husband

Scheduled for Prostate Biopsy
Scheduled for
biopsy
in a few days. Have researched much information on biopsies and prostate cancer. My urologist didn’t go into much detail about the actual
biopsy
procedure.

update as promised
Colonscopy came back clear, took biopsies, can see me in 10 years which honestly I don’t know that I’ll do this again 10 years from now. Glad it’s over!

Adenomyosis, should I have hysterectomy?
I had a
biopsy
(clear), a transvaginal ultrasound which showed 23mm deep endometrium with striations even after progesterone treatment to reduce it and a 15mm polyp, then a hysteroscopy (confirmed polyp and adenomyosis) and polypectomy (successful).
