Researchers show that certain antibiotics can prevent the entry of SARS-CoV-2 into cells.
The Drug Design and Molecular Topology Unit group of the University of Valencia has shown that certain macrolide antibiotics (used in respiratory tract infections), including clarithromycin and azithromycin, can prevent the entry of SARS-CoV -2 in cells. The study, led by Professor of Physical Chemistry

Long Term Azithromycin
Hi, I’ve been on Azithromycin for about 5-6 weeks now on the advice of my respiratory consultant. He suggested we try switching from 250 tablet every day to every other day but it’s been a couple weeks and I have ALOT of mucus and it’s getting a little mucky coloured. When I was on the higher dose

Covid jab with Azithromycin.
As well asPMR I suffer from bronchiectasis and take Azithromycin 3 times a week to prevent infection. I know antibiotics would not normally interfere with a virus jab but have read that this particular one was once considered as a cure for Covid. I’m now worrying I’ve stopped my jab from working. Can

Am I clinically extremely vulnerable?
Hi.. Just wondering? Diagnosed with Bronchiectasis 10yrs ago, now 65yrs old. Lots of infections initially so put on azithromycin 3x weekly. Last year pseudomonas identified several times & a course of ciprofloxacin in July. Subsequent pseudomonas evident, may be colonised. No letter to class me as extremely

Hello everyone, I wonder if anyone can offer me any advice. I have bronchiectasis and have been on Azithromycin 3 times a week to prevent chest infections for about 5 years now. My problem is that in the last couple of months, it has started to badly affect my stomach when I take it. Has this happened

SUCCESS!!!
SUCCESS!!! I had RLS for 37 years and am at last free of it! Over 3 years ago I began noticing that every time I ate almost anything, that within 1-30 minutes the RLS symptoms would ramp up a lot. About a year ago I watched Dr. Leonard Weinstock's podcast on RLS.org (also on youtube) and he explained

Azithromycin
I just took the 1g powder form of Azythromicin and I stupidly decided to google it and there was a warning that it can lead you to have fatal arrhythmias. I have the worst heart anxiety already so this is making me think that i’m going to drop dead any minute now. Some people were also saying it gave

Good morning everyone. Sorry for miserable post, but l am getting pretty desperate and disheartened. I am on azithromycin 250 mg three times week. But got another infection, so more clarithromycin. The antibiotics are playing havoc with my stomach. I did a really stupid thing, so angry at myself. I
