First post, 3rd recurrance
I first had ovarian cancer April 2017 when I was diagnosed stage 4 and had 6 cycles chemo (3 drugs - carbo, paclitaxel &
avastin
I think) with surgery in between. I found out I am BRCA1.

Help needed please. First recurrence. I'm so scared.
Avastin
continued until May of this year. I had a CT scan this week as ca125 up to 71 and saw oncologist yesterday. She said I have some fluid around one lung and a bit of fluid in the peritoneum. The plan is to start carbo/caelyx on the 17th and then Olaparib (I'm BRCA2+ve) if I respond well.

It has returned
Tomorrow I will be returning to the hospital to drain my stomach and then it is back to chemo (Carboplatin and Cylex) and
Avastin
- just finished chemo at the end of July was not expecting it to return so quickly - quite depressing.

News on last CT scan and scars on lung
He wants to give me 2 months break before putting me back on chemo, accompanied with
Avastin
. At first I was ok with the news, but the more I dwell on it the more sad and depressed I feel. I don't really know why, except I suppose I was hoping for a better outcome.

Anyone on Avastin in UK
Hi my onc added this to list of meds. I looked it up and saw that it was banned for breast cancer in the US years ago as the risk of side effects outweighed benefits. Getting worried now ( my oncologist looks near to retirement so I am worried he is not up to date)

Need more information from people with same problems.
I have been treated with
avastin
,ozurdex, and now Eyelea for 6 years. My central vision is gone in the treated eye. Vision is just finger counting. My saving grace is my 20/20 good eye. I was starting to get the injections every 2 months and the last 2 visits 7 weeks and 6 weeks apart.

Avastin?
I read that a lot of you lovely ladies are on
Avastin
. What exactly is it? It's never been mentioned to me by my health professionals. Also, does it work?

Is anyone taking NSAIDs with their Taxols? It seems that research indicates that the effectiveness of Taxols may be extended.
I have seen little indication of this on these pages bu would be interested as a Paclitaxel and lately an
Avastin
patient.

Stage 4b Ovarian CA125 Life expentancy.
I am now having
Avastin
every 3 weeks. My CA125 is 16. Has anyone been through a similar journey how long will I have, before it's starts taking hold again? I'm desperate to know how long other ladies were given, I just think I can settle better if I know. Probably just having a bad day!
