After Avastin.
Morning lovely ladies x My
Avastin
treatment will ending in May, having had 22 cycles following surgery and chemotherapy. I can’t help wondering what happens after? Is it just of case of wait and see? I was stage 4b when diagnosed in November 2018.

Back to my oncologist this afternoon to hear the result of my scan - anyone on weekly taxol?
So his reply was at this point that he doesn't want me wandering the corridors feeling ill on
Avastin
waiting for news from London - so guess where I am off to this afternoon with a list of questions!

Stoma? I’d advise you to wear abdominal support garments from the get go.
Also, I’m urrently having
Avastin
and if they to operate on the hernia, my oncologist would have to stop the
Avastin
, which of course simply cannot happen as it’s priority. A catch 22 situation.

Hello ladies, any tips for alleviating awful joint pain from having Avastin? Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
Hello Ladies, I am on my 8th infusion of
Avastin
and I have not managed to figure out how to manage the joint pain. Currently taking Naproxen and Massaging magnesium oil into my joints/muscles. My shoulders, hips and lower back in particular are giving me the most trouble.

Pleurodesis?
I'd never originally responded to first line chemotherapy treatment and after two other drugs I finally have been stabilized with
avastin
. However it's had a bit of effect on my lungs and heart. doctor is sending me to the pulmonologist to discuss treatment options for the effusion.

Integrative? Success with supplements - food choices prolonging remission?
The latest was almost a year and a half of Carbo/Gemzar also with
Avastin
. Now I am ONLY on
Avastin
, NED for almost 6 months. I was NED during most of last chemo also. I always take all sorts of supplements and foods, and I am revisiting some I dropped like green tea and reishi mushrooms.

Olaparib
Hi, I am taking Olaparib doing fine up to now I’m taking it since last January 2019 I was initially given
Avastin
after my first round of chemotherapy, I had my first recurrence 21 months later, I’ve had two recurrences in total but because I just couldn’t take anymore chemotherapy I pushed for the Olaparib

Continued with
Avastin
but had recurrence after 9 months. Switched to hormonal therapy (femara 2.5 mg) and been on it for almost 3 years. Has many side effects, joint pain, and loss of. One density and most of all my hair has thinned so much it’s crazy!

Pendle99 : Farewell to Penny
Since being diagnosed in November of 2017, when she was only 48, she has never been out of treatment, suffering through Carbo/taxol and
Avastin
, then Carbo/Caelyx, straight into weekly taxol. I met her through this forum when we discovered that we both lived in Bath and had the same Oncologist.

Update on the pleural effusion
Meanwhile, they're keeping me on
avastin
because the doctor says it is helping. I'm hoping this means that tissue growth will respond and start shrinking.

First reoccurrence .
So, until we know what the plan is I’ve decided not to tell anyone at the moment - our family has had to deal with some pretty big stuff recently.I have been researching treatment options for a first reoccurrence and am wondering if anyone has had
Avastin
with or without chemo at this stage and how

Avastin
was THE maintenance drug.Due to research many more maintenance drugs have been licensed, especially Parp inhibitors.Ive been on Parp (Olaparib ) since Jan 2016.
