Various remedies
It's become apparent RLS for me peaks in the summer. I have weeks when I barely sleep at all no matter what I do. Things that might help relief symptoms, don't. I'm up and down all night and miserable. As a rule some remedies might be helpful for a while and then I find the effectiveness wears down.

People taking taurine. How long? How much?
Just curious who here is taking and has been taking taurine? Already posted on this molecule so you can click on my screen name and do research, BUT just got re-energized because of this paper: - https://www.nature.com/articles/s41419-018-0468-2.pdf

Have enjoyed reading everyone's experiences with Afib/flutter. Does anyone have any recommendations as what might be the next course of action after 6 cardioversions, an ablation, flecainide, tikosyn...and nothing works. I'm in afib all the time and just getting darn tired, literally and figuratively

Serrapeptase
Some time ago, both Nalakrats and Patrick commented on the use of Taurine and Anginine to ward off or ween off of A-fib meds. Included in the discussion was the dosages used for the amino acids Taurine and Anginine but I cannot find the dosage recommended for Serrapeptase. Patrick, if you read this

Woke up in afib again, converted by exercising. Need some advices.
I woke up in afib again two days ago, this was my 8th episode. I tried running fast to convert and found my heart rate shot up to 228. Kind of scary to see that number but I didn't feel anything but my heart bouncing around. No tiredness, no short of breath, no dizzy feeling. I then stopped for a few

My story, and progress.
I'm writing this information down to help both me (when I feel down and upset), and those who may be suffering right now and want reassurance. I think my anxiety is inherited because I've had it for as long as I can remember. It just never completely ruined me or made my life a living hell. It was just

Today's interesting molecule. Taurine.
So I spent a couple days researching this molecule and finally just now I began to find some truly interesting links: - Creatine-supplemented diet extends Purkinje cell survival in spinocerebellar ataxia type 1 transgenic mice but does not prevent the ataxic phenotype. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed

Right combination of supplements
I have experienced that the combination of different herbs and supplements can backfire if not taken rightly. But the right combination is a tricky matter and is different for different persons. I was wondering whether there is some standard combination of supplements which is optimal and is more or

Research finds Taurine to be neuroprotective in a Parkinson's disease mouse model
Prof. Frank Church has done a blog post on some recent Chinese research into the neuroprotective properties of Taurine, using a mouse model of Parkinson's disease. My alternative therapy for SCA1.
My name is Joe Peck. I am 53 years old and in 2013 I tested positive for the SCA1 genetic mutation. I am neither a doctor nor a researcher, but I do have a strong background in science and graduated with honors from Dartmouth College. Over the last several years I have read hundreds of research papers

Anyone use MSM supplements?
A recent thyroid book I read suggested that it was a supplement worth considering. “The complete thyroid health and diet guide” They also recommend taurine, calcium d-glucarate and milk thistle. All the other items on their lists I know more about and these are recommended more widely. Any feedback

I have a friend in LA who runs the Nutritional Oncology Research Institute. Now in 15 years plus of research, I know a lot of the ins and outs of a lot of natural therapies. From Liposomes to Cannabinoids, and Diets to Lifestyle. I spoke with him recently, and he says he is very excited about the amino
