I have had a cough since February. I have seen the gp and all he has given me is antihistamine and says its allergy issues. I ended up
in A&E he other day as could not stop coughing for 4 hours and could not breathe and vomited also. The hospital done chest X-ray which was clear, they also done blood tests which was fine. They have now given me a brown pump for my asthma to add to the blue pump I am using, they also gave me lanzaprazole

I successfully came of Zopiclone after long term use.
No tapering worked at all for me. My GP substituted the zopiclone for phenergan an antihistamine and it worked from day one. I only needed 1 tablet although I could have taken two. I have stopped the Phenergan now and I am sleeping better than I have for a long long time. I also find the my anxiety

Plagued with generalised itchy skin that gets worse when I am anxious
I have itchy skin every single day of my life and it's really starting to get to me. I have explored reasons for the itching and have ruled out allergies and any other external things that may be causing it. I have noticed that when I get anxious which is most of the time I get itchy and then when

Severe attack-anyone taking Zileuton Extended Release?
Hi everyone, I haven't been on in quite a long time. I've had a lot happen since I was last here. I lost two jobs, both related to my health. The first was a hospital job, and I was walking around about 5 hours a day, and on oral prednisone for about 14 months because of a severe asthma attack, and

Bile duct
I was at my dog0ctor for about 2 years non stop and never got a blood test, he gave
antihistamines
for the itch but never a blood test. They says they would send to the hospital for allergy tests witch never happend. So that doctors got closed down for not doing there jobs proper.

Urticaria and Stress!!
Hi, Does anyone suffer from Urticaria? I have underactive thyroid (hashi's) and for quite a while now have been feeling quite well. A few weeks ago I started feeling itchy, large and small red bumps appearing on skin. Saw the Doctor and he said it was urticara and prescribed antihistamine. Almost

Is anyone else having issues with hayfever?
I've started with the OTC
antihistamines
so I'm doing nothing but sleeping atm! I'm not sure whether I get use to them every year or used forget what it's like to be awake haha. This is just a general moan I guess! I want to go and enjoy the sun! Is anyone else suffering earlier than usual?

New medication!
well, were do I start! went to Doctors on Wednesday as pain relieve has not been working for a long time. following the saga of stopping my Tramadol all at once after four years+ on maximum dose and nearly killing me, the doctors having been trying to find a suitable pain killer for me with little success

IgE blood levels & spirometry
Had first consultant appointment last week and got bloods done. I have various allergies so wasn't surprised when she decided to get my IgE levels checked. Wanted to know what happens if it comes back high? I realise this confirms an allergy to something but do you then require allergy testing to get

ANCA now negative
I tested positive p-anca in November 2013. Retested again, and test has come back negative from lab. I don't know what to do now! I have all symptoms of vasculitis small vessels but would say that symptoms are mild but doctor is dismissing this due to negative result. I have just had an endoscopy which

Had the worst weekend ever :(
Woke up at 1pm and then the itching had started again took some more pictures as I had noticed the
antihistamines
hadn't worked at all as I took extra in my nightly dose of medication.

Poor care at GP practice
Must carry on with nasal spray but told to stop
antihistamines
I had been put on as apparently they do nothing for asthma. We'll review again in 3 months and might be put on Montelukast then as I am fairly atopic.

Pred and skin prick testing
The nurse when I booked the tests said I just needed to stop
antihistamines
, but consultant said pred *might* affect allergy blood test results so I was wondering re skin prick tests as well and no-one seems quite sure; search online (including academic sites) is also inconclusive: everything says short
