Confused mom.
17 y/o recently given ADHA meds for 2weeks that didn’t do anything for him , so his psychiatrist took him off the med without changing the dose or the brand. He upped his antidepressant and said, “see you in a month”. What does that mean. My son is miserable. Can’t focus on school, is so depressed that

Is Neuropsychological testing in an ADHD Evaluation Important?
I've been taking 2
antidepressants
for several years. (Celexa 10mg and Effexor 37.5mg) . I also am on hormone replacement therapy ( for help with brain fog, insomnia and depression).

Tapered off Mirapex about 8 weeks ago, new meds causing morning sedation and anxiety. Do I just have to cope with that?
Hi all- my first real post here, thought I should introduce myself! I have a lot of questions... I've had RLS since I was 12. Have been taking Mirapex for 30 years maybe? Up to about 1mg/day, was augmenting. Was tapered off, last dose in late Sep 2021. I see an RLS doctor at Yale, he seems pretty

WHAT IS YOUR BEST SLEEPING AID? Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!
I don't want to be hooked on too many
antidepressants
or anxiolytics for sleeping. So please help. I was told at the ER last night by a doctor on call that, it is usually the parkinson's medication, that causes insomnia mostly. He however gave a new prescription for an antidepressant Trazodone.

Doctor's are guaranteed to prescribe an uneffective medication for anxiety. Can anyone suggest a reliable online site for anxiety meds?
I've tried the four subcategories of
antidepressants
, mood stabilisers, and frankly the only medication that is effective, and is immediately effective is benzodiazepines, alas the doctors in the 21st century I very reluctant to prescribe such a drug, because they have never experienced anxiety themselves

Depression from GCA or from prednisone
I hate to complain every time I’m on here. I know many of you have suffered for years and some have endured personal heartaches and tragedy. Life could be a lot worse. I have many friends and relatives but no one really understands what I’m going through. Just like me they never heard of GCA either.

Newly Diagnosed with FND. Question
Hello- I (42yrs old) was officially diagnosed with FND this past week, although in fairness I believed this was the cause for quite some time. I even had a neck surgery thinking that was the cause...ugh. As many here, its been a whirl wind 2 years with every known neurological symptom coming and going

My moods get very VERY low during my period though so whenever I did seek medical advice, that was always the focus and I would be given
antidepressants
to try and sent on my way. My periods got especially bad about 4 years ago.

Wellbutrin as an SSRI alternative?
Hi I'd be interested in hearing from anyone that has made a successful transition to wellbutrin from an SSRI and whether it has worked for them. My understanding is that this antidepressant does not aggravate RLS. I have tried to gradually taper off of Lexapro and was recently hit with unbearable anxiety

In A Terrible Mess - Can Anyone Help Please!
I've completely lost the plot and even wonder if I should go back onto
antidepressants
(been off them for 2 years) as I feel continously stressed out by the whole thing. I would be so grateful for any advice from you lovely people on this forum.

Antidepressants
for mood and anti-anxiety tablets are problematic and people with Parkinson's so they don't work very well.

Hi everyone 😊 I am on duloxatine(cymbalta)
antidepressants
. I also get some Xanax for anxiety and panic attacks. I only take them when needed . I have always had problems with my mental health. And is understandably worse since sah. I am worried that my doctor will stop prescribing the Xanax .
