One or two?
Hi all. We are just taking meds for our 5th FET - we have 2 embryos left from our first collection and are eligible to transfer 2 and for another NHS round - just trying to make a decision. I'm not on a down regulation cycle this time no buserelin. Just oestrogen and progesterone and blood thinners

How long do I take meds after tissue AVR
Hi all, Just wondered generally how long people had to take the blood thinners (clopidogrel) and beta blockers (bisoprolol) for after OHS AVR with tissue valve. I have no other heart conditions. I’m 5 weeks post surgery and will see surgeon on Thursday so will ask him officially then but just thought

New diagnosis.
Hello folks. I’m a 67 year old man, a few weeks ago in the course of treatment on my spine, very successful, arrhythmia was detected, I was afterwards hooked up to an ecg machine, the low heartbeat alarm for less than 60 bpm kept going off. The staff nurse who took four scans put the fear of God into

Cerebral venous sinus thrombosis
I had a CVST in November and am just learning what to do and how it’s impacted my life. I’m on blood thinners and it was caused by estrogen. Anyone else in this situation?

Advice please!
Hi, after an eye examination I've been advised that I have the very early stages of macular degeneration 'nothing to worry about at this stage' - apparently, but obviously annual checks are essential, and in the meantime, the very best thing I can do is to always wear sunglasses on bright days and to

Cryoablation for my Afib
Just wanted to say thanks for all the posts. I am 42 would say healthy. Started having Afib in Dec of 2020. Had 2 cardioversions in Dec and Jan which only kept me in rhythm for like 3 days each. Just had the Cryoablation this past Monday. Used general anesthesia and seemed like a non event. Recovery

COVID-19 Survey
Before the swab test could be sent to me, I had to go on line and answer some questions, but when I got to the part of asking whether you took
anticoagulants
, of course I answered yes because I have AF.

Thapsigargin
Thapsigargin is an antiviral medicine that the University of Nottingham has found effective against a number of viruses including the covid. Boy, I tell you, the UK is really on the ball. I read about this on a place called SciTechDaily. The more treatments found, the better. Meanwhile here in the USA

White fingers/? Reynauds post stents
It is Iess than a week since having two stents. I am finding that despite wearing thermal gloves, my fingers go white half way along on both hands when out for a walk. Prior to stents it happened on index finger on one hand. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it the blood thinners? I am going to try

Attending your Vaccination in the UK
Hi, This is the letter going out in my area of the UK, regarding attending your vaccination. This part of the letter is very relevant to those on Warfarin, and is probably the same UK wide. Please do not arrive more than 5-10 minutes before your appointment time. Because if you do, people have to

Over cautious GP
My Dr has been very good and my injections have carried on as normal, however in order to save the nhs money and to negate my having to journey out I asked if I could self inject in future to which I receive a flat no.I find this strange as when I have had to have a five day course of blood thinners

APIXABAN - Is it making me feel so wierd
Iam an 87 year old male and have always been relatively fit and healthy. Although I had no symptoms of Atrial Fibrillation, I was diagnosed with A F last Summer and was prescribed Apixaban 2.5mg twice a day. Since then I have felt generally light headed with the feeling of being on the cusp of fainting

COVID and AF (some new research)
I know were all having a bad time with a mixture of AF and the worry of COVID, we've all come a long way and managed to deal with it all to a point. I am however the bearer of what seems to be bad news and think it's only right to share this even though it makes uncomfortable reading, for that I apologise

Jabs
Had my jab this evening. Hardly hurt at all till the microchip went in. (only joking). Very well organised even if they did ask me if I was on blood thinners. Worst part was the queue for the car park which was long even with loads of marshals working to find people spaces. I guess not all old gits
