Health records diagnosis confusion…..
I am currently fighting a chest infection which has really floored me, on steroids and
antibiotics
and using inhalers when needed……but what really got me when I had to visit my doctors last week for this was that my (ACOS) Asthma COPD overlap syndrome had not been recorded on the system!

Eye symptoms
I have had a bad cellulitis infection in 2021 which I had a cyst also,
antibiotics
and drops eventually sorted this. My eyes are always watery and just feel sore behind but nothing to see by looking at them.

Persistant cough
My GP has treated me with
antibiotics
and inhalers with no effect the only thing that stops it for a few weeks is steroids. Chest X-Ray showed only that my lungs looked a bit smaller than usual. The GP can hear crackles at the base of my lungs.

Any positive experience with antibiotics for IBS
I've seen posts on IBS after a course of
antibiotics
for other problems, but has anyone had good experience with any antibiotic? I'm talking to my GP today, this is one straw to clutch at.

So happy
Sent sputum off to see how long he'll need
antibiotics
. Physio said he's strong so coming daily instead of every other day. Tomorrow they'll have him standing again plus marching on the spot. Put him back to bed now as physio wore him out, but used the hoist overhead with him pulling up himself.

A success story
During this time I thought I'd developed a UTI (listed as a side effect of Travatan) and was given a course of
antibiotics
which very nearly killed me. Months later my eye pressures started to rise and I was diagnosed with open angle glaucoma - a listed delayed side effect of the
antibiotics
.

Canada trip, IBS, and possible Cystitus
Whatsapp friends diagnosed cystitus, and a recommendation to get powders from the chemist, who said I ought to see a doctor and maybe get
antibiotics
, which was the last thing I wanted.

As far as I’m aware during my stay on the ward I was given various medications, lots of anti sickness variations that had no effect sadly , painkillers ,

and potassium infusions along with amiodarone for the constant AF .

Myopericarditis with a two week old baby & 18 month old
I’m recovering from birth with tears, I have strep A, thrush, cystitis, on
antibiotics
, struggling with tricky breastfeeding. Caring for the new baby and big active 18 month old baby who doesn’t nap. Should he be helping more or can he really die if he does? What should his rest levels be?

Made it home ok thanks all. Another day another saga.
She said she thought it was Pneumonia like last time & I needed IV
antibiotics
. I already suspected this. However I need blood tests & X Ray first & they were now closed. I told her I would finish my Doxycycline tomorrow & so She sent a prescription for Amoxicillin to Boots electronically.

Recurrent chest infections.
After 2 weeks of it not shifting and coughing up dark sputum and having sats at around 90, I was put on intravenous
antibiotics
for 2 weeks. I was slowly starting to feel better but after I finished the course my oxygen started to fall again.

I’ve won battle with pseudomonas
I’ve just defeated pseudomonas with oral
antibiotics
! It s left me feeling bit tired, but thankful not having to have I.v. Injections 5 times daily at home or go into hospital. I’m celebrating quietly.

R223 - PSA 26 Doubled since February
If had
antibiotics
may have gone as high as 4.6, but usually with regime of INR 2 - 3. On Warfarin as multi pulmonary embolism while having chemotherapy 2010. We would be grateful of any thoughts or advice kind regards Jan & Tony

Adult Whooping Cough longer term and associated symptoms.
We both agreed that nearly 4 weeks later
antibiotics
wouldn’t help if it was Pertussis, but I also had a mild chest infection by this time too.
