I take
amitriptyline
and that enables me to get a good nights sleep, that said I could sleep the day away given half a chance.

My GP subscribed me with
Amitriptyline
today which is an antidepressant but prescribed for chronic pain too, from what I can understand. - has anyone tried this? Sorry for rambling but I feel so alone with this all, I have great support, but nobody I know understands. Thanks in advance xx

I am now on 10mg of
amitriptyline
. Been on it for 2 1/2 weeks with worsening symptoms. Are these results normal after taking high doses of B12? Should I go back to the GP and push for B12 injections? Start taking the oral B12 supplements again?

Letting off steam!
Went to see the pain specialist today, she has told me to reduce my
amitriptyline
to 40mg (currently on 60mg) and start 100mg of Gabapentin three times a day, increasing it daily up to the dose of 300mg three times a day. Feeling really fed up and unsure about how to cope.

Amitriptyline
Hi everyone, I would appreciate some advice - what's the best time to take
Amitriptyline
and then what time to go to bed to get the most benefit? I've tried various combinations and can't seem to get it right, so anything that works for others I'm willing to try.

3 days of unbearable pain
I am on pregablin and
amitriptyline
, I spoke to my doctor yesterday who then also prescribed me cocodomal. I've been using heat pads but it just won't give over. Has anyone found pregablin this unhelpful? xx

Constant Back Pain - Why?
I was diagnosed via a lap in March 2014, and after that I was put on the mini pill and
Amitriptyline
. Apart from a flare up in August of that year which I think lasted about six weeks I have had no pain other than the occasional niggle. Due to the pill I have no periods.

Help
I'm on Gabapentin and
Amitriptyline
. About 6 or 7 years ago I had an accident at work and I was told by the hospital that it was a prolapsed disc, which flares up every 18 months to 2 years and I'm currently in one of these episodes.

Not sure if I should be here or not
So back to today, the doctor is going to refer my again to the Rheumatologist and given me some
Amitriptyline
Tablets. Have got an MRI in two weeks on my lower back, so hoping that will show up why i'm in so much pain with the back and hips.

Help for my husband
He is no longer on morphine as I believe it does nothing for nerve pain but he does take
amitriptyline
and gabapentin. He feels he is useless, can't get a job to support the family, is negative about so many things.
