Any advice on how to relive the pain a bit especially at night when I'm trying to sleep..I already take paracetamol, codeine, gabapentin &

for my back which I injured over 6yrs ago in a lift accident. Knee pain has been going on for 2yrs now. Its gradually getting worse.

Help
If it wasn’t for
Amitriptyline
I also wouldn’t sleep for days at a time. I take Buscopan everyday but they are just useless. I also meditate which only has a little effect. It’s there anything else I can try and help this?

Advice for travelling
I'm also on 20gm per night of
Amitriptyline
, which I have seen on here in the last day or so is actually something that makes RLS worse! I'm on this for pain, but I will ask the doc about transferring to a different drug.

Diagnosis
I'm on
amitriptyline
50mg each night but I still wake up in severe pain. My GP didn't really tell me much and I forgot to ask because I'm so tired all the time. I have been reading about fibro on the NHS website and it says that I should of been referred to a Rheumatologist.

Endometriosis severe pain 18 months after 4th excision surgery and mirena
Anyway, he has now recommended I try
amitriptyline
, the gnrh analogue injections again and oestrogen patches. And has also referred me to a urogynaecologist regarding bladder problems. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Your thoughts on amitriptyline, if you have already been prescribed this medication
I have seen numerous comments and sites suggesting that
amitriptyline
is good for not just depression, but also for pain/nerve pain and or relating to ibs pain. I've only ever taken citalopram 10mg which has not done much for my ibs pain and thinking about switching to
amitriptyline
.

Consultation today
So they tried to give me more medication for pain like
amitriptyline
and then said it might be TNT and offered Carbamazepine. I refused all extra medication & advised I wanted more tests to find out whats really going on. It was a battle but he understood where i was coming from.

Pills and pain
Hi, I am on 200mg (yep 200) of
Amitriptyline
. I'm on quite a lot other pills. Sometimes you can go onto a medication which contra-interact with another meds might be the problem. It can sometime be that it's one or the other... try taking one away and see if it reduces the problem.

Hello everyone I suffer from fibromyalgia and depression and I am currently taking 20mg duloxetine and 10mg
amitriptyline

New hypothyroidism diagnosis
Persistent fatigue and a host of other symptoms saw me also diagnosed with fibromyalgia around 2 years ago and I was given
Amitriptyline
. I have monthly blood tests because of the medication, in December I was inadvertently also tested for my thyroid.
