Amitriptyline for pain relief
Gp wants me to try low dose
amitriptyline
see if that helps. Just want to know if anyone else has tried it, did it help? Worried about side effects, but will give it a go if it stops the pain 🤞🏼

Still unwell today but more cheerful !
My GP did try me off it and replaced it with
Amitriptyline
(10mg). However this gave me unwanted side effects (Diahrrea). Although it did warn some users may experience this the worse thing of all was that it warned against its use for those who have a range of heart irregularities.

pain from leg ulcer
Also was give
amitriptyline
but one 10 mg dose at bedtime knocked me out for 24 hours. I am going for dressing tomorrow and have asked for GP to see me at same time so I can discuss medication. I can either sleep in a chair or hang my leg out of my bed for relief.

Not sure if its IBS?
Over the last couple of years I've been suffering constipation which I put down to taking
Amitriptyline
for chronic migraine. I would go 2-3 days without a bowel movement and could only get things going again with Laxido and Senakot.

OMG I CANT BELIEVE I DID THIS 😱
I started
amitriptyline
just over 6 weeks ago and have noticed I was getting confused so changed to pregablin on Thursday. At least I know baricitnib works. OH is going to check meds now . It does get confusing. I’m on 10 tablets a day and 3 of those are the same colour but different shapes .

MPN and amitriptyline
Should a GP prescribe
amitriptyline
to a patient who is already suffering from fatigue due to MDS/MPN? I have cut down to taking it every other day (at 6.0 pm) but I'm still a zombie most of the time. I may be elderly but I still have things to do.

Fibromyalgia?
At the beginning my GP prescribed me
Amitriptyline
30g daily before sleep. I didn’t take it until the pain made it impossible to sleep or function normally, it helped with sleeping, however the pain levels did not decrease. I’m not on any medication at the moment.
