My Cancer Is Going Strong & A Warning
First, the warning. A week ago, I was in the airport in Bucharest, Romania after finishing a Danube river cruise. I set off an alarm and was taken out of line for a Geiger counter check. Five weeks after my VISION Lu-177 infusion and I was still radioactive! Romania had a radiation terrorist attack

Update on Labs
As a result of some of the helpful comments from fellow warriors I began tracking the blood levels below in addition to my compulsive monthly focus on PSA. The oncologist has had me getting a comprehensive metabolic test every 2 weeks for the first 3 months on Zytiga to see how it affects the kidneys

Enzalutamide + Abiraterone Acetate in Bone CRPC
New study below [1]. Abiraterone [Zytiga, Abi] & Enzalutamide [Xtandi, Enza] both target the androgen receptor [AR] axis, with Abi limiting the supply of androgens & Enza restricting access to the AR itself. It might seem worthwhile to combine the two, but that would depend on how effective the drugs

Advice on an MO at Johns Hopkins?
I am going to be in Baltimore in a couple of weeks and am thinking it might be a good idea to try to schedule a consultation. I live in Utah, am a physician who did pediatric residency at Johns Hopkins long ago, don’t know anyone outside of pediatrics there now. I have CHEK2c1100 deletion (blood test

The Importance of 1) sleep, 2) exercise type, and 3) time of day: imperative to understand the correlation to minimize motor dysfunctions.
I am NOT a PWO/PD/
ALS
person who is on a journey with this type of neurodegenerative affliction, nor am I a care giver of someone afflicted. I do coordinate 2 PD support groups, etc. but I don’t consider that patient care. As some of you know, I am not “sugar and sweetness”.

Can we give CuATSM a try without waiting for the Australian trial completion (5 years from now)
Mutations in SOD1, which alter its metal binding capacity and can result in protein misfolding and aggregation, have been linked to familial amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (

PEA (Normast) More effective with Ashwagandha?
PD and
ALS
are both disorders of the serotonergic system. Serotonin regulates melatonin (insomnia) and our autonomic function (dry eyes, gut dysmotility etc.) On the
ALS
forums, people are combining PEA with ashwagandha to good effect.

Need your opinion on today's bloodwork.
Okay, So as mentioned before, I am aggressively loosing weight to deal with my liver disease. I have been on an all liquid diet for a month an half and on average I have been losing 7lbs a week since. Since my Fibroscan test in April, (where I was around 350lbs), I am not around 258lbs. I am slated

Newbie to this forum - hello everyone
I saw my GP in March for a routine health check and I told him my ankles and abdomen had become swollen - he ordered blood tests and an abdominal ultrasound. Test results showed Serum alkaline phosphatase level at 150 and Serum alanine aminotransferase level at 54 (both above the high reference limit
