My son
I don't have
alopecia
, my son has had it for a couple of months and, as you can imagine, he is distraught. I have spent a fortune on nioxin, and on supplements like Hebridean sea Kelp , but its getting worse..

Help - very Itchy scalp - might this be a first psoriasis outbreak? What to do?
I haven't had an itchy scalp for years since my bad old
alopecia
/ eczema days when I suffered terribly and used Betacap (betnovate) on it regularly to very good effect. This is different.

Hi, I have coeliacs, my son doesn't but he has recently developed
alopecia
. I know that coeliacs can be hereditary and that
alopecia
can be caused by an auto immune disorder. I just wondered if it was worth chasing up a possible connection?

Supplements
I have recently been diagnosed with an underactive thyroid and have heard that sea kelp is good for your thyroid function. Is this true and can you take it if you are on thyroxine medication

Thyroid symptoms
She also has
alopecia
that's connected to trouble with thyroid (the dermatologist's words) still no treatment except for her hair problem. What can we do or where can we take her next? Anyone who has a clue we'd really appreciate help, thanks.

Mother of Alopecia sufferer
My 26 year old daughter has been dealing with
alopecia
since she was about 10. It started with bald spots which would regrow, only for a new one to develop.

Hair loss still continuing - getting upset
Despite being on T3 for some 8 months I'm still moulting. I've taken an iron supplement (Floradix) for around 30 years and my last ferritin test showed that it was OK. Any ideas what I can do please? Thanks!

IDS claims he can live on £53 a week.
By last night almost 300,000 people had signed an online petition challenging Mr Duncan Smith to survive on £53 a week, or £7.57 a day, after he insisted he could "if I had to". It was set up when David Bennett, a market trader, told BBC Radio 4 that the sum was all he had to live on after his housing

New North East Support Group
Been trying to find a support group in the North East for my 20 year old son who developed
alopecia
in January 2013 and is struggling to come to terms with it - I have not had any luck, so have decided to start one in Newcastle, in the process of setting one up in Longbenton.

Male Pattern HAIR LOSS, looked at DHI Alopecia and Advance Hair Treatment. I have mixed feeling on BOTH which one would you recommend..?
Visited a session at DHI Global - i wasn't happy to undergo taking tablet; Propecia and the concept of taking hair from side and implanting scares me. Further on, visited Advance Hair Studio - their method of using Minoxidil put me off a bit as i always get migraine headache with Minoxidil + Laser
