No side effects?
He got carboplatin,
alimta
, and keytruda. The thing is that I don't know what amounts of these drugs were given. He's not having any side effects so far and that got me to thinking that perhaps they gave him a small amount.

Leptomeningeal - Part 1
He was stable on
Alimta
maintenance. And then boom, leptomeningeal. Literally out of nowhere, didn’t even see it coming. The average time to leptomeningeal is 111 months. My dad developed it in just over 7 months from diagnosis while also remaining stable and very well since diagnosis.

IMRT denied final time today + Abraxane, Carboplatin, Keytruda question
Alimta
maintenance has now failed. We were informed this is now critically important he start radiation or they said he will die from the tumor collapsing the SVC. He also was pulled out of the clinical trial today.

Dad having severe SOB after 1 Alimta maintenance infusion
He has had 4 Carbo/
alimta
infusions with small shrinkage but mostly stable disease. He did relatively well after each Carbo/
alimta
infusion with some SOB after for a few days but generally felt well within 4-5 days after infusion.

I need advice on managing chemo side effects for a stage four NSCLC patient
The dr at Penn got her on Keytruda,
Alimta
, carboplatin...which worked for 6 months. But her foundation one has no biomoarkers for targeted therapy. Monday she starts a very powerful, and thus deadly and rife with nasty side effects, chemo — taxane and Avastin and one other.

Call it stable or call it NED...whatever, I’ll take it!
Last April, after progression on Carbo/
Alimta
and
Alimta
maintenance, I started Docetaxel (Taxotere) and Ramucirumab (Cyramza) as second line and I’ve been stable since last August.

Carcinoembryonic Antigen
My first chemo was carboplatin/
alimta
which i did great! My ICMA (the long name in the title) which i understood to be a tumor "marker" dropped from around 60 to the 20s, which excited me.

Dr said the only other option now is Carboplatin and
Alimta
chemo (standard of care) or a clinical trial they are doing that is Carboplatin,
Alimta
and a third drug called Pirfenidone (FDA approved immune-enhancing drug for lung fibrosis).

Consolidation chemo after concurrent chemo and radiation for nsclc 3b?
His oncologist is recommending consolidation chemo next ( after scans) using carboplatin and
alimta
. Can anyone tell us what to expect from this type of “full strength “ chemo compared to the “light” version he had while doing radiation? He has tolerated this weekly chemo very well.

Newbie Here
Dr stated that there was no evidence of disease present, I decided to go with chemo anyway. 4 rounds,
Alimta
and Cisplatin for 3 weeks. First round of chemo was terrible, everything tastes disgusting, need some suggestions please. I’ve read that the more bland the better but I need some flavor.

Starting a new chemo drug
Started chemo in December of that year taking
alimta
until the cancer started growing. I then was on gemzar for about 6 months and it to wasn't working. So, now I'm starting taxotere. Is anyone familiar with this drug and what I can expect? I'm a little nervous about it. Jkurtz52

Port install experience
I've have chemo (Carboplatin and
Alimta
) , then maintenance with only
Alimta
. The full chemo had good progress but once I went on maintenance it started to grow and the pain in my bones is coming back. They've now put me on Keytruda, and I'm praying for the best.
