Effects of ADT
My question is has there been any research (biological and/ or psychological) done to try to predict how
ADT
might affect certain individuals .

Armour NDT, possible problems
I’m currently taking Armour NDT 1 grain in the morning and 3/4s in the afternoon. My bloods are really good and my symptoms have definitely improved. However, I’ve been having some problems such as feeling nauseous off and on through the day and also the odd day where my bowels are really loose and

starting intermittent hormonal therapy
Since I started
ADT
my PSA and Testosterone have been nil. I have a script for PSA & Testosterone blood tests in 90 days. He told me When PSA rises to 3.5, I will go back on hormonal therapy. I also have a script for a bone scan and CT of chest and abdomen…

What's normal with private consultations and NHS records?
My question is:- If one sees a consultant doctor privately, who then prescribes medication and informs the patient's GP of what he has prescribed, is it usual for that information to be added to the patient's medical record? I have been consulting a private endocrinologist who has been helping me to

Advanced PC with a 90 years old
With castration resistance, is
ADT
and another AR inhibitor or CYP17 inhibitor still a treatment option for him? For example, if he becomes castration resistant with Enzalutamide, can he get Apalutamide or Darolutamide or Zytiga?

More calcium chat
A few weeks ago, a poster questioned the necessity of calcium + d3 while on
ADT
. Several responders seemed to suggest that supplementation may increase PCa risk. I am currently in my 16th month of leuprolide treatment.

Test Results
Hi Everyone I would be grateful for any comments about my recent test results. I’m confused. Briefly I have been hypothyroid for 17 years, I was on Levo but for the last 10 years I have been taking NDT which has been great. I’ve received a text saying I must see the doctor, they say I’m over

Patient diaries
Can anyone explain why two separate ICU nurses would each write an entry in my husband's ICU Patient Diary - one to say he was dying and one to tell him he was dead? Why would anyone do something so unkind addressing him by name when he had been unconscious for a week and was on a ventilator? Plus

belimumab
hello, I have my first belimumab injection next week. Does anyone have any tips? I’m a bit nervous because I had a different biologic years ago for cancer treatment and found it pretty hard going.

Xtandi vs. Abiraterone vs. Nubeqa
So… my recurrence treatment plan consists of RT and
ADT
& Xtandi for 2 years. I’m still working until January ’23 so cost isn’t a concern until then. My current insurance doesn’t include Xtandi in the formulary - abiraterone & Nubeqa are the covered options.
