REDUCING TO 7.5
I was first diagnosed with PMR in September 2014 . I have been an avid reader of this site since then and have learnt so much from everyone. This has been my worst time reducing from 8mg to 7.5mg the withdrawal Symptoms have been awful. I have had a painful foot that caused me to limp. Groin pain, sensitive

Help!!
It just feels like a giant unstoppable
adrenaline
rush. And I have this horrible feeling of doom like something awful is going to happen, and everything around me looks/seems scary. I just want to curl under a blanket, turn off all the lights and wait for it to be over. :c

GCA - coping in the early stages
I figured out that even just the phone ringing causes me to be flooded with
adrenaline
for ages and so I’m really snappy when I answer the phone - so people now text me before calling so I’m not on a horrible jittery high every time the phone rings unexpectedly.

Scared of MS, ALS, off balance, dizzy, Nuero disease? Long term GAD suffering? Please read this!! This gave me hope to start beating anxiet
These reactions are generally thought to be a racing heart and palpitations, sweating, increased
adrenaline
etc etc. Now, this is all well and good but how does this fit in with those symptoms that mirror MS etc so effectivly.

Is Anxiety Numbing Your Emotions Completely?
We fear
adrenaline

T3 only and heart rate question
I have been on T3 only for 3 years and on a stable dose of 55mcg split into 3 doses. I have noticed at times that I get a fast pulse in my neck as the T3 reaches its peak - usually I only get this when I am ill. This week I have had very painful trapped nerve in my arm and was taking paracetamol and

I hope
My kidney's was giving of too much
adrenaline
and that I had problems sleeping and staying asleep. She made a whole shock treatment especially for what my body was craving. So now I am on a two week treatment and hoping and trusting for the best.

This was tough!! I wasn't expecting it to be easy as I'd read other posts with this being the case but I didn't realise it would be so hard. I had to fight every step of the way. I wanted to give up at 10 minutes at 15 minutes, at 19 minutes. The whole way through! Tbh typing this now I don't know how

Does anyone get really bad adrenalin rushes after excercising? I wind myself up, thinking if I push myself with excercise I will have a heart attack. My heart rate takes ages to come down and I think about it all the time. The adrenalin is awful after excercise I can't sleep, wake up sweating and get

W5R2 Best run yet!
I woke this morning with that nervous feeling in my tummy which must have got my
adrenaline
pumping which in turn made my run a great one. I was worried last night as the back of my thighs felt tight and painful so I got Hubby to massage them, which really hurt!

We have become doctor's by circumstance.
Doctors need to understand more about anxiety and the causes it has on the human body the hormones that are released during a panic attack once the body becomes adjusted to large amounts of
adrenaline
it get used to it!!! It has to have more of it??

Adrenaline Rush?
My mood has been really low for the past few weeks and the other night I had a sudden rush of
adrenaline
. I have never felt anything like it before. But since that night my mood has been very low and anxiety symptoms have been really bad. What could this be?

I've signed up to a 10k in May!
Hello everyone, Thanks to all who commented on my previous post my 'bad run', your comments really helped. It's a lovely day here today so I thought I would get out again and put those gremlins well and truly to bed! I did 8k in 55.13 which I'm pleased with. (My 'long' run pace- ie the pace I can keep

I did it! I actually did it!?!
My final run was today and I don't know if it was the
adrenaline
I got from knowing I was running the final run of the program, but in terms of what I had ran before, I smashed it! I ran a 32:35 5k and felt so good at the end. Looking back across the whole 9 (10) weeks I have come so far.

Emotions!!
Goodness I am finding out how much emotional turmoil can effect PMR! Have just gone through 9 weeks of worry as my son, aged 30, had to have chemo following diagnosis of testicular cancer (sadly the removal of the tumour in November didn't stop the growths appearing in the lymph nodes in February).

Just found out there's a 10 week waiting list on NHS and I'm so ill that I'm going to have to pay private as can't carry on feeling like this. Now feel like somethings pressing on my throat area. Wanting a diagnosis
I have finally just got my Dr to refer me to an endrocologist after trying for 5 years. I have had weight gain, brittle nails, cold sweats, nausea, adrenalin surges, enlarged tongue, extreme fatigue, and waves of depression on and off lasting from weeks to months at a time. The symptoms are always worse
