HM training week15 day3
That’s it, last training run before Sunday’s half! And new shoes - replacement for my oldest On Cloudflyers that are knackered, have a hole by the star lacing, and I think were contributing to my knee problem. This was supposed to be all in zone 2. Not a chance!! I don’t know if it’s pre race adrenalin

Painful foot/ankle & use of microcurrent
Hello, Hope you are all as well as can be expected? 😊 It is 7 months since my last post, when I was “dithery” and as you said this subsided quite soon after my post & my “normal” level of Adrenalin has returned. I have had PMR for three years & have been on Predniselone for nearly three years. I have

I fear there's something missing
Adrenaline
was a far better painkiller than the ones I am currently on! 2nd point of discussion with surgeon, how peeved I was bcos I have a 10k race next weekend & HM soon. He was adamant it was a no to the 10k, but seemed to be OK with the HM, depending on check ups!

Now my brain is working I realise my mistake.
It's Cortisol and/or
Adrenaline
which caused my issues. I knew it didn't sit right but couldn't put my finger on it. Took 7.5mg today....will await the outcome. Hoping now I am back on form that I will have no problems. Fingers crossed.

Connection Between Sleep and Cardiovascular Disease
People who are under-slept have overactive sympathetic nervous systems (the flight or fight nervous system); This results in more circulating
adrenaline
, higher spikes of cortisol, and blunted levels of growth hormone (all of which are tied to cardiovascular disease); A loss of only 3 hours of sleep

Scary biscuits!
., scary stuff 😫 Anyway, maybe the
adrenaline
of the near death gave me a second wind, I kept going. The 10k turned into 10 miles...turned my watch off...and then ran another mile. The furthest I've ever run. Tonight's plan involves a takeaway and a glass of wine. Sod the cooking and cleaning.

T3 pooling
It seems the most common cause of T3 pooling is low cortisol, but high cortisol and/or
adrenaline
levels can also cause this condition.

Learning
Only just learnt the reason I feel shit constant is because my
adrenaline
is constant going. And obviously when all I think of is negative think I get the physy symptoms do it's like a never ending cycle. Because I cant think posiy there's nothing posio to think about tbh. So I'm stuck.

Frustration at being wrongly diagnosed
Hi Everyone, i am just annoyed that i had poured my heart out to a senior Psychiatrist who later sent me a letter saying that there was nothing he can do with me and that i should have just contacted Health in Mind in the first place - basically i wasted his time. Yet during this assessment meeting he

I am getting used to the feeling of
adrenaline
in my body and know that it will soon become history (the feeling not the

).

Hello parkrun - I'm back!!!
And when, by 4k, I realised I was on to break through the 30 minute barrier, the
adrenaline
really started to flow. I'm not sure I'd count the end as a sprint, but it was certainly a push. And so I came in at 29.47 unofficial.

Signs of adrenal response?
Mark suggests it's my adrenals sending out
adrenaline
and I am inclined to agree. Having made sense of it, it feels less scary. It's bloody unpleasant though. Have others felt this? It's been a while since I posted a photo of Thea....you'll find she's growing fast :)

Rescue predisolone again
As much as I dislike taking pred. it does the trick and gets the breathing heading in a good direction. Made it to day 5 ok- if as a hyper active Duracell bunny. Until today- when I had a bit of car stress- no adrenalin kicked in and blood pressure all over the place. Just 2 days to go.... Does anyone

Everything you need to know about nicotine.
This is partly caused by nicotine stimulating the adrenal glands, which results in the release of
adrenaline
. This surge of
adrenaline
stimulates the body. There is an immediate release of glucose, as well as an increase in heart rate, breathing activity, and blood pressure.

Flying and Afib - terrible experience
Recently I was flying back from Helsinki and was only five minutes into the flight when I felt myself go into af (breathless, dizzy, sense of doom/anxiety,
adrenaline
flip flopping in my stomach and of course erratic fast-pulse).

Fast forward a couple of days - my new Brooks
Adrenaline
arrived yesterday (photo above), my eldest son got his place at Uni ☺️ and today's run out on the local trails was just what I needed after what has been quite a busy week.
