SVT “attack”. How long does it take to feel ‘Normal’ again?
Anyway; long story short - ambulance, A&E, 2 injections of something that made me feel like i was going to die (
Adenosine
?), heart rate came right down and they let me go home 2 hours later. So it hasn’t reoccurred but I’m feeling fragile. I feel tired, my chest feels tight and my breath shallow.

Post Ablation update
I'm NOW 7 weeks post ablation for AVRNT & although experiencing frequent ectopics I have today felt well enough after 2.5 yrs of frequent svt's requiring lots of
Adenosine
, to get out on my bike!! A real turning point for me, took it easy but it feels like a real achievement.

GRAVES AND THYROTOXICOSIS : CIRCULATORY SYSTEM
Adenosine
transport into myocardial cells and its phosphorylation are increased [345]. Excess thyroid hormone increases cardiac Na+-K+ activated membrane ATPase, and sarcoplasmic reticulum Ca++-activated ATPase, both of which contribute to the heightened contractility of cardiac muscle.

I was surprised when the Radiographer started the injection of the
Adenosine
to say it took my breath away would be an under statement. It took about 30 seconds to get back control of my breathing, but other than that it was OK.

Book: The Adenosinergic System: A Non-Dopaminergic Target in Parkinson’s Disease
Adenosine
A2A receptor antagonists have shown great promise in the treatment of Parkinson's Disease and alleviation of symptoms. This book addresses various aspects of this class of drugs from their chemical development to their clinical use.

Adenosine and RLS - again
I have tried dipyridamole (which affects
adenosine
) for my rls. I'm not sure that it provided much relief to the actual symptoms but I almost immediately felt better when taking it - much less tired and more 'myself'.

Did anyone else have issues getting their doctor to approve ablation?
I have never required
adenosine
but my SVTs do go to 300. I’m not sure why some people are automatically referred for ablation and some are not?

An Answer I Didn't Want - PVFS - Final Diagnosis?
It's been quite a while since I've been active here, and my health has been up and down. But for the sake of the community, I figured I should share what I've learned. My hypothyroidism appears to be both primary and secondary, TPO-Ab borderline but definitely positive, yet fluctuating function not explained

New cholesterol lowering drug
Author information Abstract Bempedoic acid (BA; ETC-1002) is a new agent that reduces cholesterol synthesis through inhibition of
adenosine
triphosphate citrate lyase, an enzyme upstream from 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl-coenzyme A.

First episode of AFIB that was constant. It was 20 hours before I was cardioverted.
They gave me
adenosine
and I think ephedrine to try and slow my HR down. I was 289 BPM when I arrived at hospital. I was immediately cardioverted and returned to normal sinus rhythm. I was 35 at the time so they kept me 3 days and ran every test on me and said I was perfect health and good to go.

Bipolar Disorder and Cellular Hypothyroidism
Evidence indicates that bipolar disorders are associated with mitochondrial dysfunction which results in low cellular
adenosine
5′-triphosphate (ATP) levels. Transport of thyroid hormones into cells is energy intensive and dependent on ATP except in the pituitary gland.

Hello, new here! Here's my story of AVNRT and 2 ablations...
After 20 years, a new episode hit me and required an ER visit and aggressive
adenosine
treatment. Really scary part about that episode is that I was on a coast-to-coast five-hour flight earlier in the day. What would have happened if I was mid-air or halfway over the Pacific?

Extract from Afghan Ash suppresses PCa cell growth
Mechanistically, we found that NA treatment to PCa cells resulted in a sustained activation of
adenosine
monophosphate‐activated protein kinase (AMPK). NA simultaneously increased acetyl CoA carboxylase phosphorylation and decreased pS6 phosphorylation, the two major substrates of AMPK.

B-6, Methyl Folate and B-12
I know it's been written before, yet I'm still confused. Vitamin B-6 has to be taken a few hours after Levodopa, RIGHT? Even though he is on Levodopa/Carbidopa, I still hold to that "rule". Methyl Folate, B-9, is it safe or no? Vitamin B-12, I have heard a negative about it. He takes this daily at 1

Why Cycling in and out of Nutritional Ketosis Is Recommended. Burn fat for fuel.
The mitochondria within your cells are largely responsible for generating the energy (
adenosine
triphosphate or ATP) your body needs to stay alive and thrive. They're also responsible for apoptosis (programmed cell death) and act as signaling molecules that help regulate genetic expression.
