Having difficulty waiting
I had 2/3 of my left lung removed in June 2015 for
adenocarcinoma
. 3 months prior to that I had a lumpectomy of the right breast for invasive ductal carcinoma. The recovery was long and difficult. I now have a small growth in what's left of my left lung.

I am new here
I am 54 and newly diagnosed with
adenocarcinoma
of the right middle lung and am waiting for the results of some tests to determine stage of cancer. I am hoping I will be a candidate for surgery but I will probably have to go through chemotherapy and radiation as well.

To all of you
I asked my oncologist if it was so small how did it get in my lympnodes. He said that
adenocarcinoma
is slow growing but its very aggresive. I can't even begin to remember how many cancer cells were in that little tumor I would guess thousands upon thousands and more.
