Osteoporosis and prednisone
Hi all, I am a 64 year old female who has just started on prednisone for Polymyalgia rheumatica. I also have osteoporosis and have just started Actonel (Risedronate). I have to take the prednisone and it can weaken bones. After reading all the side effects of Actonel and seeing there are law suits

Acne on the back of my Head/Neck
So ive had this bit of acne on the back of my head and neck for since I was about 18/19 years old. I am now 26, my hairdresser noted out to me recently that the hair has stoped growing as much around this area and its probably due to this acne. Its quite concerning to be honest. Just wondering if anyone

Acne and endo
Hi, I have recently been diagnosed with endo and for all my adult life suffered from acne around my chin and neck. Could these two be linked? If so, has anyone found any ways to control it? Xxx

Exploring emotional experiences of adults living with acne
Hi, I'm conducting a research project exploring the emotional experiences of adults living with acne for my Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology. My hope is that the research will inform ways professionals respond when working with people with acne. I'm posting information about the study here, as

Acne sufferers, this one's for you.
We are looking to speak with a female acne sufferer who has not responded well to antibiotics, possibly because of antibiotic resistance. It is for a newspaper article and would involve a short interview and a photo. Interested? Email lisa@britishskinfoundation.org.uk. Thanks.

B12 & Acne
I've seen some headlines recently about B12 causing acne. I was wondering ........ in the real world, as regular B12 users how many of us have actually suffered spots as a side effect? I know I haven't. Please post your view/experience 😀

Spots and aches
Okay so I'm not sure if this is related to my thyroid but is my main reason for looking into my condition more recently after being managed on just levothyroxine for years. But in the last year I've had these spots appear on my right breast, at first there were only three that wouldn't heal but over

I have been battling with acne since I was about 15 I'm now 25 .. I've managed to get my skin about 90% clear due to changing of life style etc .. I am now wondering if the jab I get of hydroxocobalamin every 3 months from my nurse is keeping the bad skin around. The reason why I write this post is

Menopausal Acne
Hello! I have recently hit the menopause and for some reason I have horrendous acne - I never had skin problems as a teenager and I feel I shouldn't have to wear this much make-up to cover it up! Is this normal? Does anyone have any suggestions for solutions? I am finding it really embarrassing!

Hydroxocobalamin causing Acne?
Hi everyone, this is my first post. I was diagnosed with PA about 9 months ago. After my loading dose my skin broke out really badly with spots on my face, neck, back & shoulders. I spoke to my GP about this and was told it had nothing to do with the b12 injections as they do not cause acne. When

"Get rid of acne ! " is it possible?
Actually though acne is not a life threatening disease at all statistics show that about 8% acne patient thought about suicide. Isn't it surprising? Actually prevention of acne is almost certainly impossible. So what can we to to minimize acne affect is maintain a good hygiene, drinking enough fresh
