Numb side of throat

I lie on my right side which is the numb side, so I thought it might be acid reflux related, but it looks healthy. Does anyone else have this problem?

Acid reflux or something else? Feeling really down.

After much research I found that I had acid reflux as all the symptoms matched. Burping, lump in throat, acidic mouth and more. To be honest, I am not a big fan of medications. I decided to find an alternative by corrrecting my eating habits.

Good DXA results - no more Alendronic Acid!

After 6 years with PMA and still on 10mg prednisolone, I was pleased to get a normal bone density report and very surprised to read on it the advice to stop taking Alendronic Acid as “had adequate period of treatment. Bisphosphonates remain effective for several years after withdrawal”. I raised a concern

Update on stress

GP rang am. Queried with her whether I am supposed to give Lanzaprole a holiday. She said I had been on L for a long time. I told her I get excess acid when not taking. Has reduced dose to 1 or 2 to be taken daily . Then came the next ALENDRONIC ACID and whether I would start taking it again as they

Night-time cough

How do I tell if it's acid reflux (which I don't knowingly suffer from but have been told I must have because my oesophagus is damaged) or a lung-based cough (I have bronchiectasis)? or even postnasal drip??

New with skin-related question

Hi, I'm new here and was diagnosed with PBC in November last year. I'm on 1000mg ursodeoxycholic acid a day. My main symptoms have been pain in the liver area and fatigue. I've also had a strange weakness in my arms at times. More recently I have been getting itching and patches of skin becoming rough

Where is the best place to buy K2 mk 7

Hello everyone - hope you are all as well as can be expected considering we all have health issues. I see a lot of people suggest taking vitamin K2 Mk 7 to aid with calcium. I've been looking on-line at several places selling it and am getting more and more confused in the process. Can anyone please

Newbie Guidance Please

Acid reflux discomfort. The GP prescribed a antacid which merely takes the edge off. 2. Still getting residual discomfort from the area and upper back. This could be due to the healing process or even part of the GERD symptoms as it feels like trapped wind. 3.

Possible ulcerated oesophagus!

Having trouble sleeping now the acid reflux is much worse at night with just the stabbing pain in my back during the day which comes and goes. So I'm busy reading all the old posts about acid reflux, what to eat etc.! All really useful. Not sure what the treatment will be for an ulcer? Happy days!!

When to take Thyroxine advice please

Hi everyone, I’ve been taking my thyroxine (100/125), with all my morning meds + tiny bit of food, followed by breakfast 60-90 minutes later for 10 years and my endo says this is fine. I can’t say I’ve ever felt the thyroxine’s made any difference, and lately other major health problems have begun

Alendronic Acid - needed or not?

Hi to all you lovely, helpful people, Wonder if someone can advise me. I am currently on 10mg of Prednisolone which I take after Omeprasol every morning. My doctor has also prescribed Alendronic Acid 70mg for me as a previous DEXA scan (2 years ago and no figures given to me at the time) showed my bones

New to the group

Hi all, I had a dexa scan in April which came back with a t score of -3.9 and a diagnosis of osteoporosis of the spine. I already knew I had a compression fracture of L2 vertebrae after an x-ray. Doctor prescribed alendronic acid and vit d3 but I stopped the alendronic acid because it made my IBS worse

Diet for a vegetarian with T score of -3.5 on the spine

Hello all. I’m 61, male, and was on pred for 30 months to treat GCA and PMR, finally stopping in January this year but had to restart at 15mg in July, tapering and now down to 8 I had a DEXA in August that gave a T score of -3.5 score compared to -3.2 three years ago. It’s said said to be between
