Repressed Memories
Hi, I was hospitalized with VM at the age of 7 back in 1973. Shortly after hospitalization, I slipped into a coma in which I remained for around a month. When I first gained consciousness, I couldn’t walk or talk, but I eventually re-learned to do both. My total hospital stay lasted 2 months, about

Due to the number of
accidents
my wife was involved in recently, it looks like she would have a viable case for PIP. Over the Christmas period we applied. and the forms came back last week. To call them forms is an understatement - 40 pages and a 12 page guide to the form !

Astonishing improvement after almost 3 years
It will be 3 years in February that my boyfriend had his TBI. I've just read the post I put on here around that time and the replies I received. Just having a place to air my thoughts at the time and to communicate with other people that had already gone through similar experiences really helped me.

Is this just bad constipation?
Hi Guys, I need your advice here. Male 53, good diet, non smoker, walk daily with dogs, on feet at work, been on Lansoprazole for 8 years struggling with full rectum high up. I go for BM every morning without fail and seem to do plenty then may do more an hour later but much softer. By early afternoon

Over sensitive bladder??
Hi there, my son is 5 and in Foundation at school, he is having two or three wee
accidents
a day and a few soiling
accidents
a week. His wee
accidents
are never a full emptying of the bladder but small to medium wet patches, then he is told to go to the loo and then he fully empties his bladder.

I did it! And I know that completing the couch to 5k is the beginning of this wonderful journey.
I completed couch to 5k yesterday. Kept it all to my self for a day. A special gift just for me. I'm joining the consolidation group in january as I know this is the tricky time. I cannot recommend c25k highly enough. Inches have disappeared from my waistline. And I've gained energy and an excitement

Holiday blues
Feeling blue... I completed my C25K immediately prior to a trip to Australia, for the first two weeks away, I was able to run every other day and it was fantastic, out there running first in Perth, then Sydney, amazing experience, then I got to Adelaide and just couldn't do it, I was puffed within about

The paramedics told her how lucky she had been because one the road there had been so many
accidents
and all were fatal. Yes my mom is alive and in our house resting try to get over all she went through.

Post 593 Not every day has to be 3 Feb 2020
There are
accidents
, I have overdosed several times but never ever deliberately. Some days are a challenge and I allow them to happen, not much can be done about them in all honesty, but I can soothe them a little. Stay in bed all day, talk to my dog.

Personal alarms with fall detector
Hi all! I'm trying to find a personal alarm with fall detector that I can wear when I'm at home (including in the shower) and when I'm out and about. So far, I have only found one called a Buddi. At first, it seemed I'd found just what I was looking for, but then I found you have to be within 30m of

Have all the symptoms of IBS but is it something else?
I have had what I would call a successful ileostomy since 1968 which cured 4 years of misery with ulcerative colitis. I could eat everything, just not ridiculous amounts of hard to-digest-fruits and veggies which have cause several painful blockages over the years (scar tissue or gluttony?) At ER I

Deja vu or something else?
Hi. I know you can't specifically 'diagnose ' or medically advise but I was wondering if you experience anything like this and if you know what it is. I can't get my doctor to take it seriously. I have a tbi that I got after a car crash in January 2007. I suffered a diffuse axon injury to my right

Linaclotide - a potential saviour for IBS-C sufferers?
I'm a male who is 45 and have suffered with IBS-C with severe, constant bloating for more years than I can now remember. It had become so bad in the last two years that I could count the good days in a month on one hand. My Gastro finally prescribed Linaclotide 290mg per day. I'd never heard of it beforehand
