Defeated/deflated. 😒
I sprained my ankle last week and I was doing so well on week 4 run 3 and starting to really look forward to a run - I haven’t even been able to weight bear since last Saturday. Being alone and not even being able to run/walk and get that fresh air in lockdown is hard! GP recommends 8 weeks of no running

COVID and Sedatation
My dad is going through something similar. He has been in ICU since the Jan 3rd, he was on a vent and now a trach. Every time doctors reduced his sedation he gets agitated and they keep giving him sedation. Doctors think he might have brain damage because he is not responding to commands but when family

Increased fibre causing extreme constipation and abdominal pains
I have had a somewhat unhealthy diet most of my life (fast food a few times a week, not so many veggies etc). I decided to change my diet completely and quite drastically incorporated a lot of fruit and veg into my diet. I went from an average of 10g of fibre a day (no issue with constipation) to 25g

Rechecking JAK2 V617F Allele Burden
Hi all, I have an appt with my heme on Feb 4 where he will test my allele burden - 1 yr since my PV diagnosis. Been on a daily double dose of a baby aspirin, weekly pegasys 45mcg, and phlebotomies as necessary ever since. I’ll report back on the results. Curious if others have stories/data to share on

Mental Decline
Good morning, Everyone! It is hard to be despondent on a day like I am enjoying. The sun is beautiful on the snow and the temperatures are heading towards 40 today I hope to take my hubby out for a wheelchair ride this afternoon. In the last few weeks, but especially the last few days I have noticed

Desperate for answers after negative Hirschsprungs Disease result today for my 4 year old boy.
I wondered if anyone could offer me any advice please. My 4 yr old had a rectal biopsy done at bham children's on 5th Jan. It's come back negative for HD today. We are now being referred back to his ongoing paediatrician at Warwick hospital - we have an appt on 27th Jan. Joshua has been impacted most

A Different Perspective
Having been seen privately by an eminent rheumatologist.......a leading authority in the field of PMR/GCA, since my diagnosis in May 2019, I decided to change to NHS care, as weirdly there is much more support available in between appointments when you're under the NHS than as a private patient! Can I give my dad Mucinex nightshift cold and flu if he has Parkinsons and takes carbidopa/levodopa?
I have given him Mucinex but don't know if this is the same and is ok to take.

Hi, I was diagnosed with polyhydramnios at 34weeks, scared of the implications it may have on baby and me. Anyone who experienced the same thing?

Aggression
My husband had a AVM rupture about 9 years ago and in July two years ago he was in a motorcycle accident that caused a severe concussion. Since the accident he has suffered with a lot of things but aggression is his biggest. What have you done in situations of anger? Today he was upset that I said not

Reducing Pred and side effects
Hello all you lovely people and a belated Happy New Year. I haven’t been on here for ages, but don’t know what to do really. My GP is slowly weaning me off the Pred. I’ve had no problems at all, but just a few days after reducing from 3 mg to 2, I started to feel pretty grotty: head pain, nausea, and
